Color Hues #71 and Freshly Made Sketches #601

One card for two challenges and getting crafty on the weekend?  I'm already winning! ha!  While Tom was helping his mom out today, I opened my order from The Greetery and immediately got one of my items inky!

Who knew the Tangerine and Violet combo from Color Hues #71 would be folksy enough for this Fall Folk stencil set?

Are there are other Kristina Werner fans out there?
Remember when nearly every card she made had a bow that
was threaded through a small cut in the 'spine' of her card?
I DO - and did so today to represent one of the little strips in the Sketch.
My die-cut sentiment is from The Stamp Market's: So very Much.

I've used the lovely FMS Sketch #601 provided by my friend Linda who is one of the ORIGINAL FMS design team!!  Thanks, Linda!

Okay, Tom's home again - I'd better wrap this up and get my card in the proper galleries!  Thanks for spending a bit of your holiday weekend with me!

  1. You beat me to it Michele...haven't even opened my Greetery package yet, as I was busy playing with something else new that you'll see tomorrow! Our challenge colors worked beautifully on that folk art stencil though, and I can't wait to play with mine!! I love the cording going through the spine of the card too...nice touch!! BEAUTIFUL card my friend and so glad you played along with us at Color Hues!! Hugs. :0)

  9. The new stenci worked great for both challenges, Michele. I've followed Kristina forever but don't remember the bows. Must be it wasn't something I was interested in doing.
