Freshly Made Sketches #598

Jen T. has another really wonderful Sketch for us over at Freshly Made Sketches #598 ...

I found that the PF Poinsettias that my friend Nancy sent me paired quite sweetly with these little Colorado Craft Co. friends...

Perhaps a little closeup will help find them hiding in those Poinsettias?

Two things happened with this card:  first, Pigment Crafts Co. inks are reacting beautifully with the Mixed Media paper I used today - maybe because they are dye-based?  second, normally I'd get all upset about stray embossing powder - but in this case those bits of gold around the sentiment are quite pretty!

WHO CAN'T wait for Christmas?  Probably many - but I'm not one of them!  I'm still way behind on my cards!  Thanks for the great Sketch to help me along, Jen!

  12. At first glance, without looking closely, I thought this was a fall card and I was loving the fall colors. LOL Then I started looking closely and saw that it was a beautiful Christmas card! I am really loving the colors on this one! The poinsettias are just gorgeous, love the sentiment-with the stray flecks of embossing powder-makes it look magical and I adore the birdie and the bunny-so sweet and fit in there perfectly! What a fabulous Christmas card Michele, yes Brenda, Christmas, not fall! LOL I'm one of the ones not ready for Christmas! LOL Not because I don't love it, but because I have lots more cards to get made too. Hugs, Brenda

  15. A beautiful elegant card and thank you for the closeup as bloggers' blindness has reared its ugly head. Such soft delicate colours looks like a page from a children's book.

  17. What an adorable bunny and poinsettia card, Michele! I've been working on the same die-cuts, thinking about how to arrange them, but the idea of adding a bunny (or any critter, for that matter) never crossed my mind! And I love the gorgeous ink-blended background!
