I made a wonderful lunch and Tom volunteered to do the dishes - I'm not passing up on that opportunity and will take this time to post the cards I made yesterday for Color Hues #57: Coral and Sage, and my take on Freshly Made Sketches #571!
I was so happy to revisit Pinkfresh Studios' Miss Your Smile stamp and stencils. First up for Color Hues, these are the shades of Coral and Sage inks I used:
Jen M's sketch was the instigator of that slimline card... here's my card for her and I hope she doesn't mind that I flipped her Sketch:
Beautiful, bright and cheerful! LOve both of them!
ReplyDeleteI can see it! I love your creative take on the sketch! And those background florals are stunning! Always a treat to see you in the FMS gallery!
ReplyDeleteMichele, these are perfection!
ReplyDeleteYour gorgeous florals have made their way into my heart! ps Thank you Tom x
ReplyDeleteGreat flippin' and awesome revisit of a great stencil!
ReplyDeleteThese are ahhhh-mazing! What fantastic, stately cards in all their tall slim glory. Love the colors. Coral and sage are some of my faves, plus the orchid color in your second card... another favorite! I can see the sketch. It's a stretch (hahahahaha), but I can see it.
ReplyDeleteThese are both absolutely gorgeous, Michele! I love the coral colors with the sage green. Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteOh golly, these are delightful, Michele. So happy you got a chance to play and upload! Your colors are so lovely and the flowers are delightful dressed up in them. Hope you stay safe, warm and cozy.
ReplyDeleteThese are both absolutely GORGEOUS Michele!! I love the color combos on both cards and am loving the slimline size too...go big or go home, right?!! Seriously though, you outdid yourself on both of them...lovely, lovely cards!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are gorgeous, and the colors stunning! I'm sure the flipping of the sketch is welcome, after all it's all about inspiration.
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the sketch!
ReplyDeleteGeeze Louise, you are queen of everything card making Michele!!! Love, love, love these slimline cards. They are gorgeous! Love the flowers you used, love the coral and green color combo as well as card sketch. You took that sketch and blew it away with your card! Love the colors in this one too. So gorgeous, just like you. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteIt's unbelieveable the different looks you got with the same stamp, Michele. The bright colors on the stenciled card almost glow.
ReplyDeleteWow! You can make these large stamps gorgeous, Michele! I love how you used the coral and sage and if I tip my head, the sketch is perfect! Just like both of these beauties!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I echo all of those sentiments to you! Second, WOWEE are these ever gorgeous. That image fills those slimlines perfectly. Last, but certainly not least... that Tom, what a guy!
ReplyDeleteBoth slimline cards are gorgeous, Michele! The colors of outlines of the floral images make such a difference in the feelings of the cards, don't they? Great take on the sketch, flipping the image! Your photo styling is wonderful too. You even matched the color of your watermark to your cards! Love your attention and care for your cards. Good for Tom to volunteer to do the dishes!
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
Oh wow Michele! What beauties you've created! So happy to see one in the Color Hues Gallery! ♥
ReplyDeleteBrilliant use of the sketch!!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are stunners! I love that stamp, and you've shown us just how versatile it can be by changing colors! (I think I need some Pigment Co. inks!) Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteThese are just so wonderful to look at, such amazing colours and very clever interpretation of that sketch xx
ReplyDeleteMichele, your cards, as always, are all so beautiful subdued and some vibrant--all gorgeous! Thank you for sharing with us at the Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the win at FMS - it's a beauty!!!
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous cards Michele and a worthy win for sure! Those blooms are just amazing and love the different feel of each card.
ReplyDeleteAmazing cards, Michele! WOW! Love these florals and especially the sage and green.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the intensity and depth to your coral florals. This is just gorgeous and that sentiment? Perfection. (Turth be told I even kinda like the purple one which is saying a lot. ROFL!) Thanks so much for playing along with my color duo here at Color Hues.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your win! These are truly stunning. I am in awe of the flowers. Then the way you used the "hello" as the strip in the sketch is so wonderfully creative!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love what you did with the CH colors, Michele! I knew you'd rock the challenge! And that sentiment - so sweet. So glad you played along! And congrats on your win at FMS, that card is glorious as well.
ReplyDeleteTwo fab cards Michele, the first looks fab in the Color Hues colours and the second looks equally great and certainly packs a punch. I agree, slimline cards are tricky to get in frame, you get left with a load of nothing unless you crop! Thanks for joining us at Color Hues. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a clever take on the sketch. No surprise! I love that floral image and I love that you combined it with that wonderful Hello die set. Awesome card.
