It's photo week at Just Us Girls this week and isn't this a stunner? Fall is truly on its way here in Michigan with falling temperatures, but our trees are not quite this colorful YET!
Carol Mc was my muse today as I loved her lifted, camouflaged panel - I had wanted to play with a new-to-me die set and an older set from Memory Box called Grateful Autumn - it gets a little attention every Fall. Here's where I got started - by stamping the image on my card base using the lid of my MISTI! Taping down your paper AND the MISTI is very important here!
Then I used that new die to cut my panel before lifting it
up and aligning it with the image stamped on the card base.
This image never gets old - and I adore this Slimline Label set from Altenew!
Thanks Carol, it's my turn to say 'saw it had to make it!'
Bonus: it fits the Double D Challenge: Things that Fall! Pretty easy to see where my inspiration came from!

This is a stunner, Michele! I love this technique and the fall leaves are perfect for this design. Beautiful coloring and misting too. Thanks for sharing at the Double D, "Things That Fall" Challenge.

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Michele! Wow!
ReplyDeleteYay, you came back for another round! I love that you were inspired by Carol's card and your take on it. You have such an array of fun-shaped die-cuts. I have a feeling it's one of your weaknesses. Such a great sentiment and way to display it. All around a fantastic card. Thanks for playing at Just Us Girls for Photo Week. Hubby is in Michigan as we speak but may shorten his trip to be home for a possible hurricane. What are the chances the one time he decides to take a trip for pleasure, this happens!
ReplyDeleteSwoon...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteA true "Michele" card and I love it!! I really like how you lined it all up but only colored part of it...soooo eye catching!! Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic card, from a fabulous idea! I must admit I don't understand the reasoning behind stamping outside the Misti, but it makes for a wonderful card. It's also easy to see why you CASEd an idea because it's a great one!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a simple leafy stamp, Michele, but once you color, cut with the label and pop it up, it becomes a terrific disply of Autumn on a card.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever way to stamp on a slimline card with the MISTI, Michele! Gorgeous leaves and beautifully cut! A beautiful way to usher in Autumn! I'm excited to have spotted a Monarch on my lantana this noon!
ReplyDeleteOh, that is a fabulous die and those autumn leaves look right at home with it! Beautiful card, Michele. So happy you could join us at Just Us girls!
ReplyDeleteWhat a unique and great design with a spotlight effect, Michele! Great use of the slimline label die. I admire that you're always thinking outside the box!
