I have so many things with wings that I love. You all might be expecting a butterfly here? But we had a successful brood of five new little Tree Swallows in our nesting box so they won the spotlight today!
This Spring Post stamp from Wplus9 is from 2011 [obvious by the cost of that stamp!] as is the Postmarked set ... both were perfect for my plan today! A new Postage Layers die from Wplus9 provided the canvas.
Thanks CAS Mix Up for allowing me to bring them out to play again 11 years later! I nearly forgot the watercoloring! Thank goodness I didn't forget completely! Thank Linda for allowing the background to suffice! I swooped in with a barely wet brush and a little broken china.
Oooh, so pretty! Love that postage stamp die and your little bird is delightful!
ReplyDeleteLooks like just the right amount of watercoloring to me! This is a lovely CAS card, Michele! Hoping for a bumper crop of butteflies and hoping they flutter my way ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the soft water colouring. And 2011 stamps - love how they got an outing and still look relevant xxx
ReplyDeleteMichele, love the monochromatic CAS card. Great design.
ReplyDeleteSuch a graceful swallow and the watercolored sky is perfect! I love how you were able to match the stamp up with the die cut! I wish stamps were still that cheap! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
ReplyDeletePretty cute last minute card! I love the stamp and I'm not sure I've seen it before -- kudos for bringing out the "seniors"
ReplyDeleteBeautiful postage stamp die cut framing for your pretty stamped swallow and watercolored background. So pleased you were able to join us at CAS Mix Up, Michele. Love and Hugs and enjoy your swallows and soon...butterflies. Nancy
ReplyDeleteThis is terrific, Michele!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet stamp and CAS card! I need this stamp! Actually not sure in my thousands of stamps (wood or clear) if I have a postal stamp.
ReplyDeleteCASS perfection in my eyes with just the perfect amount of watercolor in the sky of the stamp...and what a beauty that stamp is too! And oh the good old days of .25 stamps...thanks for the sweet memory!! Haha!! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteBeautifully CAS. Your watercoloured sky is just perfect for that beautiful bird. I love how you've used the postage stamp die too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for playing along at CAS Mix Up!
Wonderful card, love the postage theme combined with the stamp and water colouring. Thanks for joining us this month at CAS Mix Up!
ReplyDeleteNow this one is definitely perfectly CAS and I love what you have achieved with your barely wet brush. Thanks for all your support of our CAS challenge. I am also pleased to hear your butterflies are thriving, several people round here have been commenting on the lack of butterflies this year. So many worrying things these days xx
ReplyDeleteSweet! Lovely postage stamp with bird Michele. And I love the post mark to go with it! Fabulous design. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
ReplyDeleteThe blue swallow looks so cool against the white postal stamp panel, Michele! This kind of stamp/image is timeless, isn't it? Love this clean and crisp card!
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
I've been trying to source some nesting 'postage' dies and I blame you completely lol. Love this!
ReplyDeleteIt seems that it is this boring old postage stamp (your words not mine) card that made the cut with Linda - Congratulations xx
ReplyDeleteThis is so crisp, elegant and fabulous. Quite the CAS design. I love it.
