Welcome back, CAS Mix Up team - we all missed you so much!
I dug deep and found that dreamy embossing paste that I had to have after seeing it used the first time by Laura Bassen - yes, I do it, too! Color me influenced!
I found a way to use it in a fun way ... at the beach!
The paste has a pretty pearlescence to it... my little PTI Sandpiper is having a
good time dashing in and out of the receding waves!

Brilliant use of wonderful texture! I know I have several pastes...just don't get them out. They challenge my need to control. But you have once again inspired me....and I love that adorable bird. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Michele!! What a clever way to use your embossing paste, and that sweet little sand piper fits right in! Once again, well done my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteI believe this sandpiper is admiring herself in the reflection of this gorgeous pearlescent paste! I could let my troubles float away on those waves! I'm so glad you've come back to join us at CAS Mix Up, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous! Love the splashy texture!
ReplyDeleteI adored this at first sight! Great use of the pearly paste to give the sandpiper something to scratch around in. Love the sentiment, too.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely to see you in the Mix Up gallery and you have come up on my commenting number so even better. What a brilliant idea to use your pearly paste as the sea, it works so well, very clever and very unique. That's another lesson learnt. Whether it will be remembered is another matter! xx
ReplyDeleteAs a bird lover, this card really draws me in, M, and reminds me of all the times I've been on the beach and been fascinated by the sandpipers playing in the froth of the waves. You captured that scene perfectly! Thank you for playing in the CAS Mix Up challenge! Hugs, D (June GD)
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Michele. The perfect little walkway for your sweet bird. Reminds me of shells on the beach...
ReplyDeleteAdorable card with that sweet sandpiper, Michele. I LOVE the footprints. :) The sand from your stencil pearl paste is so pretty and really shines in the sunshine. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
ReplyDeleteI would say you found the perfect way to use it, this is fantastic! Love the little footprints the sandpiper left in the sand! WWCD!

ReplyDeleteHideko xx
ooh I adore that sweet bird and he does look happy on his shiny beach too lol.
ReplyDeleteI thought of doing this exact same card, Michele. I got that darling sandpiper recently but had a little difficulty lining him up. You seem to have the knack for it.
ReplyDeleteWow, beautiful bird and all that yummy shimmer paste too! Kinda reminds me of a pan dulce from the local mexican bakery - yum!
ReplyDeleteSo creative and beautiful! Great to see your card in the gallery at CAS Mix Up:)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things in the world is to watch sandpipers moving to and fro in the waves. Always makes me smile. I love your little bird, and it was genius to use stencil and paste as you did to mimic the sea foam. I so love this one.
