It was during a playtime with the Pinkfresh Studio Big Butterflies that I realized that stenciling ALL the layers of her wings could be one color - yellow stenciling, over teal foiling? Yes, please! For Color Hues #37 - take 2!
Just one of the Folk Art Print stencils was used for my background, too - Stencil #2 to be exact... can you tell it was dry embossed first?
I've tried so many times to get both of these butterflies on one card - I think I finally found the perfect position! and a happy birthday message delivery method.

So very pretty Michele, and 2 butterflies is definitely double the fun!

ReplyDeleteSo very pretty! I noticed the embossing and the fun way you added the tag. :) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The foiling and embossing take this to a totally new level! Thanks for joining us at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! This is BEAUTIFUL Michele! And you definitely nailed it figuring out how to get both butterflies on one card, and I love the little HB2U tag...SWEET!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteWow! They look ready to fly right off that card! Brilliant idea to use colored foil with a single color of ink. This gives this set an entirely different - and terrific - look! Yes, I do see the embossing on the background and thank for the reminder to do this. Another gem. Thanks for the sweet inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThose beautiful butterflies sure look happy both fitting on the card Michele. Love the dry embossing and the stencilling on the background too x.
ReplyDeleteOf course I can tell it was dry embossed. Initially, thought those tiny bits of blue were tiny diecuts and thought that you had the patience of Job. So glad you're like me...impatient. Anyway, love the pale turquoise foiling withe the yellow...it's a pure delight of a card.
ReplyDeleteWho needs carrier pigeons when you have those sweet butterflies to carry your message! Lovely card!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Michele your card is so pretty! I love everything about it--the foiling the colour. That is one of my favourite PF stamp sets, I don't have the foiling plate for it--yet! Thank you so much for sharing at the Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteOh my..Beautiful 3D dry embossed and colored background for your Gorgeous stenciled and die cut butterflies, Michele. Love your soft color hues for your card. Wonderful sweet tag for your sentiment for you final addition. Love and Hugs...Nancy

ReplyDeleteThe teal foil looks fantastic with the yellow wings, Michele, and the soft Sea Glass stenciling works with the butterflies perfectly.
ReplyDeleteWow! Michele - this is fantastic. Love the teal foil and those butterflies are just so pretty.
ReplyDeleteAnother stunner, Michele! I LOVE the foiling-one thing I haven't really gotten into. I have all the supplies, just forget to use them. haha
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous and you certainly are not helping me refrain from jumping on the foiling wagon! So thrilled to see this beauty in our gallery at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteI love the affect of the embossed then colored stenciling. Oh and those teal foiled butterflies colored in yellow? Perfecto! Love how you did the sentiment!
