I was so happy to be invited by the team at Time Out to be their guest again! This time they asked me to create a card that could be CASE'd by the team, and the challenge players - no pressure there, right?
I am often inspired by many fabulous card makers. So, I created a card with a certain card maker in mind - see if you can guess who it is...
Just when you think it's a 'fiddle-y' design, never fear! I'll break it down for you:
- NO stamping
- shades of any color - I used pinks, but YOU don't have to!
- die-cut sprigs, twigs, or leaves - no blooms!
- any die-cut central shape to tuck them under
- alphas - negative, or positive cuts!
- and finally, a little bling!
Thank you so much for the inspiration you provided for us at Time Out, Michele! The layered look of your card is fabulous and I love the way you used various shades of pink. So many details here, yet CAS and stylish! Super!
ReplyDeleteSo good to see you being CASEd at Time Out and what a super card. All dies! Fab to see how you built it up and I have no idea who it is that inspired this!!

ReplyDeletethis is a great challenge and you have come through with flying colors. I really appreciate the breakdown you provided. I will keep this as inspiration, as I am picking up teaching a class for a few months for a friend. The gals do not make cards at home, do not have many tools, are not into techniques or even coloring....I need to think die cuts, embossing and great color combos. You may have saved the day with this gem!
ReplyDeletewow, Michele. What can I say. first off, a big public 'thank you' for agreeing to be our Time Out inspiration this challenge. Your card is absolutely stunning, and I also really enjoyed the little montage you used to show us all how the magic is made. I expect we will have one of our all time high participant numbers this challenge. Thanks again for inspiring us with your beautiful creation and for your friendship and support as well.
ReplyDeleteFabulous inspiration for us all. COngrats on the GD.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I think Laura Bassen would be so proud. All those lovely pink shades behind that, ever so cute, double diecut heart really does look like her work. The teensy clear heart is the perfect addition. What a great Guest Designer you are. Wowzers!
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolute honour to be asked to make this for Time Out. It is just a delight. You are so clever, it looks so simple but we all know that actually executing such a stunning card is not as simple as it looks. Very well done you xx
