Certainly, by now you have posted all of the cards you've made to mail, but perhaps there is a neighbor, or family member you'll have the opportunity to hand-deliver a card to over the holidays? If it includes a flower - and we do hope it does - we'd love to have you share it with us in The Flower Challenge Christmas #63 gallery!
I have another variety of Amaryllis to share with you! This time, I found a lovely one on the internet called Spartacus:
Here are the Copics I used today...
Those striated petals were harder to do than I'd hoped. Adding a few back in using a white jellyroll pen worked pretty well:
More of that lovely wood grain card stock, and an ancient PTI sentiment, that I've die cut from several colors and stacked a bit off so they would peek out.
You have a few more weeks to participate - and more wonderful inspiration over at
The Flower Challenge blog from the DT and special guest, Stef Perry.
Thanks for stopping by - I know time is being stretched this time of year!

Another stunning version of the beautiful Amaryllis'. Great job with the colouring Michele and loving the way you stacked the die cut sentiment too x.
ReplyDeleteThis amaryllis is simply spectacular. I'd say you captured the variegated petals perfectly. Also, love the sweet surprise on the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteLovely colored.
ReplyDeleteDare I say it, Kirk Douglas would be proud of your Spartacus Amaryllis! It's beauty!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done, but now I have that song in my head... 'show me the way to Amarillo".... Have a very Happy Christmas and thanks for another year of blog friendship and incredible inspiration
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Michele. Extremely well done! :)
ReplyDeleteYour Amaryllis is just beautiful and that woodgrain background is perfect. Nothing else needed xx
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Michele. I've cut mine back and am waiting for a second blossoming. I hope it happens.
ReplyDeleteFantastic coloring of this special amaryllis, Michele! I've got one ready to bloom, but I don't think it will be striped. Maybe...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous -- love your Spartacus!
ReplyDeleteYour coloring on this fav flower of mine is incredibly striking. GOR-GEOUS!
ReplyDeleteI love that you keep it real, I totally make up flower colours all the time lol. LOVE your colouring and card!
ReplyDeleteI was amazed to see that this was true to colour, love it.
ReplyDeleteWow, another gorgeous Amaryllis, Michele! Your coloring is amazing, especially the coloring of the striated petals! I was just imagining what the stamped flower would look like without coloring, and I was so impressed with your coloring again and again. The style of the die-cut sentiment matches the woodgrain background, and the sentiment's dimension is wonderful. The peeking green is a fun touch too!
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
Absolutely gorgeous card, Michele! Not easy to color those petals, but you did an amazing job! I also love how you offset the letters on your sentiment...whenever I try that, it looks more like a mistake :) xx
ReplyDeleteLove your coloring & the multi-colored die cut word! Fabulous card!
