Orange and green? It couldn't be a more perfect choice for Fall at Color Hues!
I had a little play with another new layering set from Altenew:
Fresh Bloom, and dies.
I love that its layers leave a few white highlights!
The inks I used today are from a set called Goldfish Tails!
This one had an additional layer of brown that may have disqualified it,
but I wanted to share it just the same:
When Fall comes, I turn to these colors naturally - so naturally I had to play along!

Supplies:
Altenew Fresh Bloom combo, Goldfish Tail ink set, Rounded Rectangle frames, Leafy Garden die, and Dotted Swirls cover plate.
Both cards are stunning! I love the framing on the first card with lovely stitched background inside the frame. It's always a pleasure to find one of your beautiful cards in the Color Hues gallery!
ReplyDeleteStunning cards, Michele! I love them both and because brown is a neutral, it's allowed. ;) Thank you so much for joining us at Color Hues!
ReplyDelete...because they SCREAM Fall. That's why you naturally gravitate to them. Both of your cards are simply gorgeous. Love that bloom in the orange hues with the olive-y green. Just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAmazing! Jo x

ReplyDeleteThese are both SOOOO pretty Michele! I love that stamp and the way it leaves a little bit of white for the shading...just BEAUTIFUL!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteWhen listing our favorite colors in our senior yearbook, I listed ORANGE as mine! That would give you a clue that I love these!
ReplyDeleteOh so very beautiful Michele, when I saw the colour combo I thought that it would be a difficult one, but you made it look so easy.... twice!
ReplyDeleteI like those white highlights too! These are both so pretty. I think the second with the addition of the brown is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are beautiful, Michele! Bravo on two inspiration projects.

ReplyDeleteIt's a funny thing that I just ran across two card fronts I made with this set, Michele. I love them done in the oranges and even if it doesn't qualify that dark brown panel is elegant and shows off the flowers beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI just realized my set is Grateful Heart but it looks a lot like Fresh Blooms.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, Michele. These are wonderful. I just love the colors you chose to use on these florals. SO pretty and perfect for the season. In awe of your talent, that is for sure. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. Crafty hugs!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty! I too love that the flower has a bit of white showing through! As for Brown...you are NOT disqualified! We made an amendment to our guidelines page as the DT and I thought it was already listed as a neutral! So you are good! Always love having you in our gallery at Color Hues!! Enjoy your day!
