A wonderful Wednesday with Marcia!

Any day of the week would be a very good day when spent with my friend Marcia!  Last week Wednesday we were hard at play from 9am to 4pm stamping, cutting, embossing, and stenciling all the bounty of craftiness we had to share - believe me, there was a lot!!

We try to pick something we both use in our own way to share with you all, but keep our finished cards secret from each other.  This time it happened to be a wonderful layering stencil set called Holiday Botanical Background from Pinkfresh Studios.

I promise this bright pink cardstock matched before I brought in the
Crystal Accents!!  Look at the one I missed underneath in the cluster of three!!  lol
Pinkfresh also gets credit for this retired Joy and Cheer sentiment, and the Fancy Oval Frame.

I had a great time playing with a few of Marcia's finds from The Greetery - of course their Winterberry Bouquet was at the top of my list - since they are what I see outside of my studio window each day... here shown in all their glorious red - perfect for a Christmas card!

fa la la from The Stamp Market's 'Tis the Season stamps, and dies.
I embossed the negative again with my SU Subtle Texture EF.

The Greetery provided all the treats used for my third card - Marcia even created the wonderful wood grain card for my frame and 'shutters!'  She spoils me!

That pretty plaid is from PTI's text-style Fall Prints and Patterns that I got for $2!  I drove 750 miles to pick up the last package of SU Old Olive paper from LeAnne! lol  Used here for my card base

I have one more card made, but I cannot share as I used it for a DT card!  You'll see it soon enough!

Thank you, Marcia, for the day spent crafting away - and your wonderful bowl [and a half] of chili!!!  YUM!!  I'm on my way over - virtually - to see all the wonder of your makes!

  7. Holy Heaven! Stamping, lent craft supplies AND chili...what a bonanza from your great friend. Clearly, you had a wonderful time. These cards are all so different and so well-designed. Hate it Crystal Accents changes my colors but in your case the card is so pretty, it doesn't matter. Your berry card is simply a delight...love that red color. And the Farm Fresh card is a pure delight...I wouldn't drive 750 miles for a package of paper, though. You're a braver gal than I.

  9. You two certainly made the most of the day, Michele! I know it was a super fun time! Love the stenciled background in the pretty green and pink! So very festive! The red berries are so bright and pretty against all that textured white! You can't help but smile looking at the red berries! Love the woodgrain window frame that holds this fantastic sentiment and pretty fir trees! What fun!

  14. What wonderful cards you produced from your play date! You and Marcia must have a ball together! LOVE, love, love your winterberries! Mine are still in the package, but let's not go THERE again! Haha Have resisted the PTI stamp set with the trees in those cute pots, but I'm sure eventually I will succumb...

  15. What a productive day that was. Three truly special cards. I share your frustration about colours changing if you add clear accents over the top. That has happened to me on a number of occasions, but at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter because we only know because you told us. I don't think I would have really noticed without your prompt. The second card is a classic Michele card and is my favourite of the 3. I really love that plaid background on your third card xx

  16. Michele, how fun to spend most of the day crafting with Marcia! You two must have had a fabulous and productive time together.
All three cards are beautiful! The holly and berries are stenciled beautifully and love that you added non-traditional Christmas color (pink) to the card. The red berry card instantly reminded me of the picture of your garden. The subtle textured background is a nice touch. And the woodgrain frame and shutters look so cool with the pots of plants.
Now I can't get rid of Chili and cornbread from my head! :-)

  17. I would like to beam up with Lisa... All three cards are gorgeous. The winterberry though, is sooooo special. We had some new plants put in our front garden, and I asked for winterberry after I saw yours in the picture of your view outside your window. Apparently deer love them, and we have them strolling down our street and eating everything in sight. Anyway, what wonderful eye candy, as always!

  19. Three really beautiful cards! I love the background on the first one and that you chose white for the sentiment...it looks so pretty on bright pink! Gorgeous color palette on your 2nd card and I love the plaid pattern on the last card...I don't know how you do it, Michele, but your creativity is amazing!!!
