Hello again, my friends - hope you don't mind my dropping into your space again today - I have a fun FALL card with the cutest critters doing what they do in Fall...
Can you find those little squirrels from Home Sweet Home? Maybe this will help...
Oh those little stinkers do find the darnedest spots to bury their treasures, don't they?
In this case it was right in the middle of this gorgeous Jumbo Flower Pot window planter full
of end-of-the-season blooms!
This card was made with love for three of my former 12 Kits of Occasions teamies, who came together for Waffle Flower Crafts FALL Favorites Challenge week 2:
Fall Critters, of course!!
Until we can, it's wonderful playing cards with you, and Waffle Flower!
new Waffle Flower Stencil mats -
I'm thinking one [or both] would be a wonderful birthday gift -
just in case Tom's reading?
LOve using JJ's scripty Sentiment Additions, with or without the dies!
Okay... I promise I won't be back - until tomorrow, wink!

I don't know how many "cutes" it would take to express how cute I think this is. Here's just one big one for now -- CUTE!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! The basket is amazing and it would have been sweet all on its own, with those gorgeous fall flowers! But adding those ornery little squirrels kicked it up a notch!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun basket full of wonderful color and sweet critters. Fabulous.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so happy you played along and you've done it in the sweetest of ways! Love those little squirrels nestling down in to those delightful blooms. The soft brick stenciling in the background was the perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE it, Michele! The woven basket, the perfectly stamped and cut sentiment, the gorgeous bouquet, and peeking squirrel duo…absolutely perfect for this challenge!
ReplyDeleteThese two are too gorgeous. I absolutely love those stamps and dies and your colouring is fantastic. I remember when you came to visit me all those years ago and you told me you didn't colour. Look at you now!!
ReplyDeleteYep I spotted it and what's not to love about this card? Fabulous and definitely deserving of a couple of stencil mats Tom
ReplyDeleteThis is just wonderfully adorable, Michele. Those cheeky squirrels do find what they think is a good hiding spot in the flowers, although usually a person can spot it right away. They aren't super neat, are they? I am glad they haven't really gotten started yet here and the flowers are all still beautifully intact. ;) Maybe us checking out the card will scare them off. You've got a lovely basket of blooms and I think the embossing on the dirt layer (not the right name) is fantastic. All around fabulous card. :) Scoot, scoot squirrels!
ReplyDeleteA basket full of flowers, squirrels and nuts, what's not to love?
ReplyDeleteBeautifully coloured, love the texture from the basket and the subtle stencilling....Let's hope Tom is reading.....lol xx.
Those squirrels should be hanging around here, Michele. We have more acorns than they could eat in a lifetime. And they would stay out of that wonderful flower box.
ReplyDeleteI do love watching the squirrels...just wish they wouldn't dig in my pots, the little scamps. Anyway, your card looks beautifully full of Autumn's florals. Love the basket and the scripty sentiment, as well.
ReplyDeleteI must check out these stencil mats.... I'm sure I probably 'need' one to lol. ps your card is too cute!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous pot of fall flowers, Michele! And yes, those squirrels will try to buy their treasure in pots of flowers. A little red pepper powder in those pots discourages them.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous autumn bouquet and I love the basket, Michele! I also love how you placed those darling critters ~ off to check out these stencils :)
ReplyDeleteThis card has SO much to smile about Michele!! First of all the colors, because I do LOVE my earth tones!! Your florals in the Autumn colors are GORGEOUS! And as much as squirrels drive me nuts (sorry, couldn't resist!!), they are so stinkin' cute, and these two are no exception playing in your little window garden! Loving the softly stenciled background too. FABULOUS card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute fall critter card, Michele! Those little squirrels are so adorable, and they blend in the gorgeous flower pot! Your coloring is amazing, and the soft brick stenciling is tastefully done!
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
Adorably cute and FUN! I saw your cuties hiding and your fantastically fabulous brick
ReplyDeleteMy gosh, this is a beautiful card Michele! I love the subtle brick wall in the background, the flower box is so pretty with the flowers, but those cute squirrels steal the show! lol I love them and yes, they do love to hide their treasures the darnedest places. But they are so dang cute, although they can be destructive too. Knock on wood, no destruction here from them. Very cool card! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who took a while to find those adorable squirrels?? Must be my old eyes! A fall-tastic take on the theme!
ReplyDeleteI bought the flower basket stamp set the first time you used it,and I still haven't inked it. No you had to go and use gorgeous fall colors and put critters in it! I just love it, and may now need the squirrels! This is absolutely wonderful. I love everything about it including that wonderful feint stenciling in the background!Happy Autumn to you. It's my favorite!
ReplyDeleteMarisela Delgado said: Hi, Michele! Are you old enough to remember Pink Panther movies with Peter Sellers? Remember how his chief inspector's eye would twitch every time he heard Clouseau's name because Clouseau (Peter Sellers) was a disaster? Well, I have been in a turf war with a couple of squirrels in my backyard, who have been wreaking havoc on my potted plants. They bury their pecans in my flower pots, but dig like squirrels on a mission and have destroyed a few plants. So, when I saw your beautiful card and saw the pair of squirrels, my eye twitched also. haha haha I threatened one of them, telling her that I would make a Davy Crockett type of cap with her squirrel tail hanging down the back. ☺☺☺ Anyway, great card. Even if it brings up issues for me. ☺ Marisela mariandmonsterd@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteMichelle! I adore this card. I love how you colored in the flowers leaving some white space. So very artsy!
