Before anyone asks, I don't know what that means - but I know Inspired By #177 - Shred the cake inspired another Christmas card for my stash!! THAT is a win!
See if you can find the elements from our photo that inspired my card this week...
This guy is having no problem shredding the slopes!
Along with a few Stickles stars, these are the inks I've blended for my sky:
I love it when Danni stretches my imagination! Don't you? I also love it when we have tons of cards in our gallery - will I find YOU there this week? Hope so!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great take on the inspiration! I love these colors and that little tobogganing owl is sooooooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteVery cute card!
ReplyDeleteShred Skateboard Co. makes custom skateboards from shredded surfboard manufacturing waste.
More than I ever needed to know!! LOL
Drop Dead Gorgeous coloring, my friend. I love Stacy's little owl, especially when he's shredding the snow on his downhill run. I saw what you saw in the inspiration photo immediately. So smart to us that cover die to mimic all those stripes. These colors made me very happy, too.
ReplyDeleteI think you captured the meaning of the inspiration quite well! Shredding on a skateboard is basically extreme stunts, so you little critter is shredding on a tobogan!! Cool!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is this! I love your take on the challenge, Michele! Many of us have said that this one challenged us - but I love the resulting takes on it! Those stripes and the adorable owl are perfect!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colour blending and such a fun idea to use the cute owl to shred those slopes. Fabulous sentiment and one very adorable card and brave little owl.....Lol x.
ReplyDeleteLOVE how you were inspired this week Michele, and you know that sweet little sledding owl is a favorite of mine, so of course I'm in love with this card!! Your striped background is a perfect take on the inspiration photo, and great thinking too to get a head start on those Christmas cards!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteWeeeee, he looks like he's having fun shredding those slopes! So funny none of us knew what shred meant LOL! I see every little element that inspired you. You blended the best background and colored your daredevil perfectly. CUTE card!
ReplyDeleteToooo stinkin‘ cute Michele!
ReplyDeleteYou shredded this challenge, Michele! I love how you were inspired. The coverplate is perfect as is your gray/blue background. I love that little owl shredding the slope. Totally gnarly card, dude!
ReplyDeleteI see the elements and love your interpretation!
ReplyDeleteWell, now that we all know what "shredding" means (the only shredding I do is in my husband's office, LOL), I can say that your little owl is definitely shredding the snow! Adorable...and the colors are right up your alley, or should I say "slope"!
ReplyDeleteIt's like you took that wall paint and put it on your card, Michele. I may have to CASE this card when I get home and start working on Christmas cards.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm I know the Big Guy had shredded many a slope in his prime but I am not sure what shred the cake means......but I am thinking that is something I could do! Adorable card......you make gray so happy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie, and shredding he is! Your components are perfect interpretations of the photo, Michele, it's amazing
