The Flower Challenge has a fun theme for you for May: Use your Favorite Flower! That's so easy for me - it's tulips every time! I think I've made this same card a dozen different ways...
You'll probably see it two dozen times more! Especially in May - our anniversary month, when I carried a full bouquet of white tulips to meet my groom!
Today, I've tested myself to make white tulips tipped with pale sea-blue, and my favorite gray for their stems, and leaves.
You'll tell me if you tire of them, won't you? It's an older set from Altenew
called Exotic Tulips, and is a layering set, but I've chosen to use just one of the layers. A bit of splatter, and a few tiny pearls and I'm done!
Our Guest Designer this month is the fabulous Bozena (our November winner) over at Artcardbox Please do check out her GD card, and blog to leave her some love.
You have until May 15th to share your favorite flowers with us - I can't wait to see which will be the most loved of all!

Who could ever get tired of tulips...their beauty is in the delicacy of the bloom and the graphic quality of it's spear-like foliage. Perfectly appropriate for a white wedding. I'll bet you looked as beautiful as your card and that sweet soul of yours is.

ReplyDeleteMichele this card is absolutely so beautiful. I love the soft grey tulips which is also one of my favourite flowers. The added splatter is the perfect touch to your card. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI too am a tulip lover. These are spectacular.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and so moody-looking (in a good moody way!) I would struggle to name my favourite flower but tulips would be right up there along with lilies and roses.
ReplyDeleteHow could one tire of such beauty?! Your cards are always amazing, and tulips are so meaningful, so you SHOULD use them -- and beautifully you do!
ReplyDeleteMichele: Your sentiment is exactly what I would say about Tulips, those brave little flowers are the ones that venture first out of the ground every Spring even if the temperatures are still very cold.
ReplyDeleteI love the elegant look on your Tulips on your beautiful card.
Stay healthy and safe.
XO
Your tulips are beautiful Michele. I love the soft colours which are very calming - and we can all use some of that these days. The tulips have lots of detail ... amazing with only use one of the two layered stamps. LOVE the clean look of your design. xx
ReplyDeleteI would never get tired of your tulips, Michele! I've seen these beautiful tulips in so many different colors, and the white tulips tipped with pale sea-blue are soothing!
ReplyDeleteThe fine splatter and the tiny pearls are elegant finishing touches.
Hideko xx
Oh how beautiful and serene... I could never tire of anything you make... I love this and those beautiful colours...
ReplyDeleteI think I like this tulip set better than the one I have Michele. They stand so tall and proud. Making them white is difficult to do but you did a great job and they look even better with gray leaves.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tulips Michelle and I love the silver embossing. So pretty
