I cannot be the only girl in the world who would love an armful of lilacs? Throw in a bunch of peonies, and imagine the aroma!!
Now imagine that you just happen to have the perfect set of stamps for that!! So perfect, that I have two cards for you today!!
Enter a very old, discontinued set - PTI's Botanical Blocks II - first up: Lilacs!
I've done a little 'bokeh' background, and found a place for the adding
a bit of that violet pink - see if you can find it on the unopened buds.
Here are the Copics I've used for my Lilacs:
Ready for the Peony?
... and their Copics:
No, you are not required to make two cards in order to play along... but we wouldn't be mad about it - wink! I can't wait to see what my IB teammates have created -
join me, won't you? Right here at IB176.

Two gorgeous cards, Michele! I love lilacs too and wish they would grow here like they do north of us. Yours are gorgeous with their violet and purple hues! Love how you've done the background too! The peony is just as luscious! What beautiful shades of pink. Both are mounted like the works of art they are!
ReplyDeleteThe lilacs are just starting to bloom here and my peonies are just baby buds. They are two of my favorite flowers because when they arrive it means winter is over for sure! Your cards are gorgeous! I love bokeh dots.....and so fun to say! I know I just entertain myself ....
ReplyDeleteOooh lala, I love both of these! I can see that wee bit of pink on your first card and it's a pinkalicious plethora of pink on the second! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhen you come to visit, make it the early Spring (probably still freezing in Michigan). Then you could see my pink lilac and my neighbors lilac that leans over our common fence...that makes it mine, too, doesn't it. The point is, they're almost as beautiful at that time as your two cards.
ReplyDeleteLove both of these, Michele! Your bokeh backgrounds look lovely - will have to remember to try that, too!
ReplyDeleteOh what GORGEOUS cards. Your Lilac coloring is PERFECTION. It is one of my FAVORITE flowers and I bought two tiny bushes this year to try and grow in my yard. I have a black thumb so they probably will never bloom!!!
ReplyDeleteI do like those bokeh backgrounds you've added to those marvelous blooms! Yes, I could go for a yard full of lilacs too. Throw in some of those pretty pink peonies, even better! Thanks for the double dose of fabulous today!
ReplyDeleteAs two gorgeous cards, and each is so special. Love that bokeh background!
ReplyDeleteBoth are absolutely BEAUTIFUL Michele and I wouldn't mind a nice bouquet of both the Lilacs and the Peonies "smelling" up my house either!! And great way to use up an older PTI set for this challenge!! LOVE them both!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteNot one, but two gorgeous cards, Michele! Glorious! I've been in heaven on my morning walks as I pass several blooming lilac bushes. Oh I stop and sniff every one of them! Then I come home and sniff the one in my backyard. Heaven scent! There are a few peonies on my route, too. They aren't open quite yet. I am looking forward to the dinner plate hibiscus flowers! :) Thanks for sharing these stunning beauties, my friend.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful floral panel cards, Michele. And yes what a lovely aroma that armful of beauties would make.
ReplyDeleteLilacs are one of my favourite flowers, it is just such a shame that they don't last longer and the trees are not very attractive when there are no flowers. When I am on my morning walk I stop to smell them and enjoy I appreciate them. I love how you have done the background on these cards, they are both really very pretty xx
ReplyDeleteMichele, both cards are simply gorgeous! I love the simplicity and the elegance in both images!
ReplyDeleteBoth are so beautiful Michele!
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful!! I love the way you do the tiny dots for your BG... Need to remember that!
ReplyDeleteThose are oldie but good stamps! I don't think I have used that set in years... great choice!
ReplyDeleteI love dragging out old stamp sets and making them look fabulous again. These are absolutely GORGEOUS! And I love the way you did the backgrounds...
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so beautiful, Michele! Love the Bokeh background and the violet pink here and there. The shades of peony's petal are sooo pretty! Both look like framed paintings on a wall.
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
These are both wonderful and dreamy. And I sure love lilacs. You may have motivated me again, you rascal.
ReplyDeleteI miss lilacs. They don't grow down here but I have fond memories of the yards in my IL hometown that had the best bushes. Beautiful cards.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Michele! I love your pretty lilacs!. Mine are starting to fade out, so sad when they do!
ReplyDeleteWe have both lilacs and peonies in our garden outside the courtyard, Michele ... they've finished for the year now, but your cards here capture them beautifully! I'm enjoying the aroma from here! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThe bokeh effect is so soft and pretty and shows off the peony and the lilac to perfection on both of your beautiful cards Michele x.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards, Michele! Your Copic coloring is just perfect and your designs are so elegant! Love how you created the bokeh background on the first one, too...WOW!
ReplyDeleteTwo very gorgeous cards.
ReplyDeletewell done
xx Karen
I LOVE those images- especially the way you've colored them with the backgrounds.
