Color Hues #11 Red & Pink

With Valentines on our minds, it was no surprise that the gals at Color Hues knew just the colors we'd be reaching for!

There are so many shades of Red and Pink to choose from, right?  For mine, I chose to water color with Distress festive berries, and worn lipstick today.  My CCC Birthday Wish bunny wanted to join the fun...

My bunny [an homage to my very favorite pink bunny of my childhood] was stamped on Canson cold press watercolor paper, in Versa Claire grey ink, and very simply water colored, then cut with the coordinating die.  My card base and cover panel were created with MFT Whip Cream cardstock.  The word BABE was die cut using my newest alpha set from Altenew: Linear Pathway - Outline.  Color was added from the back with a strip of watercolor card that I painted with the same Festive Berries as her balloon.  The stenciling just added a bit of interest to a very wide open panel - a very old layering set from Tim Holtz at StampersAnonymous, blended with worn lipstick.

Add a few enamel hearts [altenew] and done!

  3. Well this is just ADORABLE and I love the happy colors you've used!! When I see a pink bunny, I think of the strawberry Nestle mix that our Joey liked when he was a little guy. He called it bunny milk!

  16. WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER! Saw this on IG last night and, after I picked myself up off the floor, just stared at it for a very long time. Missed half of the news...which was no problem...same old, same old. Anyway, putting together the adorable bunny with that awesome sentiment is GENIUS!
