My Poinsettia finale!

Hi my friends!  Hope your tummies, and hearts are full from a wonderful Thanksgiving!  It was very quiet 'round our house again this year.  With just the two of us, I went WAY outside the lines for our dinner and had a Mexican feast instead.  Let me tell you, the aroma from that pork [for Carnitas] roasting all night? - just as hard to sleep through as my Mom's 27 pound turkey!

It's time to start addressing envelopes, and signing Christmas cards. I've cut my list back this year, as I recently donated 150 Christmas cards to a favorite cause: Bring Smiles to Seniors.  I know you will all agree that this year our elders need more Christmas cheer than most do.

For my final two Altenew Poinsettia cards, I pulled out some of those favorite Wood Texture papers, and also a new pad of paper, from Craft Consortium: Grunge Dark tones.  I hope you like them... there might be a new Altenew die here...

this next one might be my favorite of the two...

This Poinsettia die was definitely my favorite of all my seasonal supplies this year.  I promise I won't bore you with any more!  But I could not resist sharing these last two!

Enjoy your Sunday!

  1. Seriously, who could be bored with such beautiful cards...that poinsettia is my faves, as well. But I would never be able to use it as effectively as you have this cardmaking season. Once again, you've managed to stun my eyes (delightfully) with two more incredible renditions. Talk about using a product to is very best advantage. WOW!

  6. Thanksgiving is more about the feeling of gratitude than the actual meal, right? I think it's fabulous you went out on your own and created a special meal for the two of you! As for your cards...my heart melts that you donated so many cards to the seniors! My heart is happy hearing that! Eyes and hearts will light up immeasurably due to your generosity. And finally, there simply is no way you are capapble of boring anyone with your cardmaking. These two are simply stunning. Like you, I like the second one a teensy bit more, but I think it's that country rustic feel that gets me! Thank you SO much for all you do and share Michele. It is so appreciated! Hugs!

  8. Fabulous cards. You have definitely made great use of the dies. I swore I’d culled my list. Somehow it’s grown...but I’m down to 3 cards left to make now. Whew!

  12. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite from these two gorgeous cards, Michele. I'm glad you love the die so much that you've graced us with many versions of non-traditional poinsettia.

  15. So pleased your Thanksgiving was safe and sounded delicious. Just Denny and I, but we had a traditional small organic ham with side dishes..yummy sweet corn, potatoes, carrots and pumpkin (for the fresh pie I made) all harvested from our garden:-)

Congratulations for creating 150 cards for seniors. We have such a wonderful sharing and caring hobby. I LOVE both your unique textured die cut poinsettias and backgrounds. TFS Love and Hugs..Nancy

  20. Your poinsettia cards are breathtaking and each so unique. I love them all. And I love that you have donated all those marvelous cards to Bring Smiles To Seniors. The recipients will brighten when they receive your wonderful creations. Seeing their isolation first hand this year, and just thinking about the months that no one could visit in the spring makes my heart hurt. Beautiful gift from a beautiful heart.

  21. How wonderful that you donated 150 Christmas cards to your favorite cause! Just making as many as 150 cards is unbelievable for me! I hope Tom Santa will check "Nice" on the list for this good girl. ;-)
Love both Poinsettia cards, especially the grungy and rustic colors with wonderful texture. I would never get bored with your poinsettia cards, or any of your cards!
