There is a card maker in our midst that I hold in the highest regard! Recently, my oh-so-talented friend, who blogs at Lost in Paper [and creates the most wonderful videos] recently made a card using Altenew's Poinsettia. It had me shopping immediately, Therese! Please go right now to see it... I'll wait - it could be hours before you stop ogling the beauty there!
Isn't it wonderful when a challenge pops up that is the perfect place to share my thoroughly CASE'd card? Challenge #41 at Christmas Kickstart was just the ticket!
Oh! My! God! We must be joined at the hip. Saw the same Therese video, shopped for the same bloom. Now all I have to do is use it. But you've done Therese proud. That vibrantly colored flower look amazing on steel grey.
ReplyDeleteStunning! I, too, watched that video and pulled out all my poinsettia stamps. I don't have that gorgeous die cut, but it's on my wish list for sure.
ReplyDeleteThis is simply stunning, that pink and white poinsettia looks absolutely wonderful on that grey embossed background. A real stunner. Yes, you have made the idea your own, without doubt xx
ReplyDeleteI've got a feeling I better check out that video if it inspired your fabulous card, Michele! I was only thinking about your love of grey when I made my pink and grey girl in a tea cup card. Your card is a total stunner and I love the dimension you've achieved with that flower. Thanks for joining Arlene and me at Christmas Kickstart, Jo x
ReplyDeleteOh goodness gracious is this ever PRETTY! Love that you've used your signature gray with that beautiful bright bloom!
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely my fave and one of the sweetest persons ever!! I am so happy that you now have my fave bloom of 2020 and your card is an inspiration. ...would you beleive that I had my hemstitch rectangles out this week, thanks to YOUR inspiration, you see it goes both ways!
ReplyDeleteThe grey textured background shows off the eye catching poinsettia to perfection Michele x. A real stunner x. Thanks for the link too x.
ReplyDeleteThat did take a while, my friend! Thanks for the link to Theresa's video. I love how you've made this your own with your coloring, die cut edge and texture! Love, love, love this!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm amazed by Therese's cards and by you as well Michele! That poinsettia just pops off the gray background! You will have to tell me the name of the mat with the holes, I loved the circle ones and now I'm in love with the square ones! lol So I NEED them. I love gray too, spare bedroom is yellow and gray and my living room is gray/light wood furniture. Gray is just the perfect color isn't it?! Poinsettia's do come in so many beautiful colors and your poinsettia turned out amazing and so real looking. I so love it! I have to get out the poinsettia that you used and I HAD to have and use it. lol Maybe next week I will get it out for a play when my friend comes over. Thanks for inspiring and enabling me Michele! lol Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of Therese as well. This is beautiful. Love the dimension and of course, the colors.
ReplyDeleteIt's so gorgeous! Love how you inked up the Poinsettia!
ReplyDeleteWhat a truly gorgeous card. Your poinsettia is perfect on the gray background.
ReplyDeleteSince I'm working backwards on your blog posting from the past few days, I've already seen the washi tape version and now this little beauty pops up! This CAS treatment on the poinsettia combined with that gorgeous gray background is a match made in Christmas heaven!
ReplyDeleteHugs - Rachelle : )
Therese's video put that poinsettia die to the top of my wishlist! You're rocking this and I'm loving your coloring.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, of course! It might be a CASE but it is uniquely yours!
ReplyDeleteThat is one bold and beautiful floral!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done, Michele.
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous, Michele. Therese inspired me too but not with the die cut poinsettia. How do you mail that beauty?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous!! I love the poinsettia and that textured grey card is perfect for it!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous. Such wonderful colors and texture. LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteBoth Therese's and your Poinsettia cards are gorgeous, Michele! I love your beautiful grey textured background as much as the flower. The way you added the sentiment is so tasteful.
