May I introduce Tickled Pink Flamingo, Hope Sings Peacock and Hummingbird Delight?
My Copics came out for this fabulous Flamingo...
My base panel is one I created
by embossing with a stencil.
Coloring is easier for me when I have an actual photo of
the subject - it's easy to find one online.
Don't you love sentiments created with an outlined word that
can be colored to match?
If you've ever met a Peacock irl? You'll never forget that plumage, or their call that sounds just like they need help!! Seventeen Copics later …
I love what Ms. Dickinson has to say here.
Peacock, colored using Pointillism is so much fun.
That eye? all you Moms will appreciate that one!
Their Hummingbird is so gorgeous, I had to water-color it twice... yes, our Ruby Throats are capable of this maneuver. ..
A slimline card was the only way to go!
Oh, I do love these 'little things!' Here I've depicted
an Anna's Hummingbird - we don't have them in Michigan!
Another time when those photos help, since I don't
have personal knowledge.
Colorado Craft Company, thank you so much for these gorgeous sets … I have more to come, soon - from their Lovely Legs collection!

Yes, I've met a peacock or ten. My brother raises them and I have some wonderful videos of their tails. You've captured one beautifully and I love the pointillism. Not to take away from the other beautiful birds. They are stunning also.
ReplyDeleteI love these! Especially the flamingo. There’s just something about them that steals my heart.

ReplyDeleteDayang, girl! Okay, I'll say it...you are a coloring genius. The hue of that flamingo is dead on perfect...and, yes, I love colored sentiments, too. The peacock with the "what did you say to me" eye is simply incredible. Those hummers...I'm drooling over them. Slimline is ideal for this image. The awesome Anna (we have one that visits us frequently) is stunning. When I saw these on IG I was impressed. Now, I'm AWESTRUCK!
ReplyDeleteAwesome coloring, Michele! Each of these birds is a masterpiece!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous collection, Michele! You colored each one of the realistic birds beautifully!!!
ReplyDeleteYour collection of birds is quite something...so bold, colorful and awesome.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I particularly love the flamingo - so very striking!
ReplyDeleteWow!!! I am so loving these birds, the stamps are amazing and you are amazing on how well you colored them Michele! I love them all even though the hummers are my personal favorites, I still love the flamingo and the peacock. Yes, I have heard a peacock and seen their plumage-they are amazingly beautiful, too bad it is only the males that look so beautiful. I will be sad when my hummers leave, I love watching them at the feeding during the day. They have been eating me out of house and home though. lol Good probably to have! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Michele, these are all stunning! I'm an avid bird watcher and feeder and you've colored your birds up so perfectly. Even the peacock! We had a peacock at the farm just down the road from us and I always watched for it on my walks. Beautiful post my friend!
