It's Summer - and this IB136 inspiration just makes me
want to belt out a Grease song! OH oh those Summer Nights!
Today I was inspired by the colors, and silhouetted images - okay I didn't have any luck finding surf boards, and dudes in my stash. But I think I've made it work - I'll let you be the judge.
Just in case you don't have any silhouettes, here's another way to go...
This gorgeous Gardenia is a digital gift from my friend Red -
a.k.a. Rachelle Oltean, a.k.a. RedCre8s
who was a wallpaper designer in another lifetime!
Guess what? You can have one too!
Today, I Copic colored them in the colors from IB136.

What a COOL inspiration photo and I'm loving both of your cards today!! Your 1st card pulls the whole kinda graphic look with those bold and beautiful colors, and your 2nd card is absolute beauty using the same colors! Two keepers for sure Michele!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteOh I love them BOTH! I adore the tropical scenery in your first design and the gorgeous floral in your 2nd design.
ReplyDeleteMama mia, that's a spicy greeting card. I can hear Frankie Valli belting out that song...aaaallll daaaay loooong. The colors in both cards are luscious. You not only made it work, you knocked them out of the park. Fabulous.

I didn't even know I was going to see a bonus card by checking this post out here, but I'm so glad I did. This cards are both fantastic! PS I just realized I've been commenting on our family email until now...well, I don't know how many Lindsey's you know, but just know the last several comments were all me. :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic interpretation of the IB photo, Michele! One of the many things I love about your cards is the variety of style. The first card is completely different from the second card in terms of style but you made them both. Wonderful job, my friend!
