I've been waiting for the opportunity to use
this MFT Hey, Sunshine! cutie again! SO happy
I now have the dies, too! Gotta love those sales!
Here are my Copics:
I stamped my sun-bather on Bristol because that is the paper I used for my pool. A word about that: wait for it to dry, or heat-set that ink before Copic coloring on Bristol!
So! Whether you fill your panel with pool water, or a sandy beach - we can't wait to see it! See you in the CTS381 gallery!

I learned from you how to do the "pool thing". What would we do without people willing to share their ideas. This little girl is doing what I would love to do right...that is, if you could get me into a bathing suit. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteOh she must be so happy in that fabulous shimmery pool relaxing the day away...how do I get to trade places? Fabulous card Michele.
ReplyDeletePerfect sketch for this cutie, and that sentiment i could use that sometimes!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful poolside cutie! Great job on the water patterning! As usual, you have given me a new idea for another card! : )
ReplyDeleteTake Care...
Hugs - Red
OK, I'm surprised...the pool water doesn't even look like the stencil used in your IB card, but it totally works for the water! And your little sweetie floating her Summer away at the pool looks so happy and content...maybe that's what I need?? A pool?? Course then I's need a swimsuit and we're not even going to go there!! I better just stick with stamping!! But anyway, your card is awesome and fits the sketch challenge perfectly!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteI've got to say, I would love to be floating in that pretty pool you've created! This is fab..u..lous!!
ReplyDeleteshe looks like she is floating in a beautiful swimming pool, wish I was. Jane x
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to create the pool effect, it works a treat and what a lovely tan - if that was me I would be bright red! Did you hand write that sentiment, it is superb - if you did I am jealous of your neat writing xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful 'surprise' Michel and loving that 'pool' textural background. A super cute card and so adorable x.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! She looks totally chill, relaxing by the pool! Reminds me I have a couple of those cuties somewhere in my stash too! I should get them inky!
ReplyDeleteYour pool water looks amazing. So realistic! Your sweetie on the floatie looks very cool, both literally and figuratively. Reminds me of growing up and spending my summer days in the pool in my backyard. My floatie for a lot a years looked like a chaise lounge that floated, complete with a cup rest. :) Great sentiment, too. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou've made that water so tempting, Michele ... who wouldn't want to be floating along on it just like your little cutie here! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteYep, that's what I do, float my troubles away. lol Such a cute card Michele! I love how your water looks so much like pool water glistening in the sun. You little pool cutie is so cute floating on her float. Exactly what I love to do while soaking up the sunshine, I stay cool in my float too-gotta love that on these hot days. Great coloring too!!! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteLove the stenciled background, especially the white stripes you left. Very cool pool indeed!
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish I was drifting on such a pretty pool... At least the sun is out today... Beautiful card and amazing colouring my friend
ReplyDeleteOh Michele, this is fabulous! I love your stenciled pool water and stripe detail for that darling little girl. It brings me back to younger, trouble-free days and the smell of chlorine! I scrolled down to find that the last card I saw was your watermelon one. I sure do miss a lot, but I love to catch up when I can.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see that fabulous water again! Your little gal looks mighty happy floating on it! Sweet card!
ReplyDeleteOh, wouldn't it be nice to be floating in a pool right now!!! Your little gal looks so relaxed and happy! And the water looks cool and refreshing!
ReplyDeleteShe's darling! And your water is still amazing, but do I detect two layers of color?
ReplyDeleteYour little girl floating in a pool is so cute, Michele! And what an amazing pool water you created! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
