CAS[E] this Sketch #379 RETRO #62

It's RETRO week... and I do love it when Chrissie goes WAY BACK!!  Isn't it fun that she even created the Sketch?  You'll find the original post here - did you play along in 2014?  Show your original card, and come play again - I'm betting you've gotten even better!  geesh you don't even wanna see my oldest cards!

I pulled out a die that hasn't had near enough love … and the most timely of sentiments for these days!

I took my card to the window hoping to catch the fun vellum
I used -  look who I caught swiping the seeds from the Zinnias:

Hope you have fun recreating your card from 2014 - or, like me, have fun making CTS379 for the first time!  Let's go see what my teamies have created, shall we?  thanks so much for dropping in... xx

  1. Love this cute design, especially the dotty vellum, but what a catch, seeing your little yellow bandit! I didn't have zinnias this year....but next year definitely!

  3. Sweet little thieves chomping on those seeds...what an excellent photo. And so is your card. It adds a bit of cheer in with those cascading umbrellas. Made me smile, big time.

  7. Your umbrellas look so colorful and jaunty the way you've arranged them. Such a wonderful card. Thank you for visiting my blog over the last year and leaving comments. It is so appreciated. I'm slowly trying to get back to visiting blogs again and can't promise to be consistent but I'll try.

  8. I couldn't believe how many names I recognised from 2014. I don't think I was there or doing then but sure is lots of inspiration. Really like the look with the umbrellas you did

  9. This looks like a fun sketch. I really like your play with it. Lots of fun umbrellas. And the vellum is lovely. Look at those pretty birds in your zinnias. Lucky you to have captured them. Usually when I try to snap a pic of a bird on my deck, they just fly away. Man, would I have loved to have gotten a picture of the hawk that landed in my backyard!! Thank you for sharing, Michele. May this weekend shower you with fun! Hugs!

  13. The perfect sentiment, for sure and I love your vellum panel, Michele! As always, you've done an amazing job with the sketch!!!
I love the pic of your winged friends stealing goodies from your blooms...it looks like they're glancing back at you and thinking, "Oh no, we're caught"!

  14. Love the card but in love with the gold finches, Michele. I usually have a large number of them on my feeder but not so much lately. And I can't take pictures of them through the window. You must not have screens.

  20. I love your take on the sketch, Michele. I am dotty for your dots, and I love the sentiment. Perfect die for this one! And what a fabulous pic of those birds. I've been thinking of you and your love of birds as we have been driven completely nuts by a cardinal who has been crashing into our windows for about a month every day from dawn til dusk. I think he is finally convinced that the cardinal who lives inside our house and hangs out in the windows is not going to steal his lady friend... thank goodness!

  22. Your tumble of colourful umbrellas (I think I may have just coined a new collective noun!) is just perfect for that diagonal Michele and I love the embossed raindrop panel behind. As for the sentiment, what could be more appropriate! Love the cute garden thief too!
