Many years ago, while living in Upstate New York, my family visited Hancock Shaker Village in Massachusetts … I was just amazed that the Shaker people hung their chairs on the wall just like this! Think how easy it would be to mop or sweep, or vacuum if we all did this!! lol
SO, I didn't hang my chairs, but here is my card for IB#125 … I used the ONLY set I had with a chair in it! MFT's Our Story to the rescue!
I hope you have a little luck finding a chair or two … or any other place to sit pretty with us this week at Inspired By #125!
=] Michele
This is perfect, I couldn't think of any sets that I owned with chairs so I went a bit of a different route.
ReplyDeleteSo cute...I love how you just colored the chairs.....such sweet little readers they are too!
ReplyDeleteThis is charming!! I love how you left her black and white on those colorful chairs!
ReplyDeleteThese MFT chairs couldn't be more perfect for this challenge Michele and I'm totally loving your colorful card! Love how you colored all the chairs but kept all the little girls just plain...such a cute idea!! And why don't I have this stamp set?? (that's code for bring with you next time please!!) FABULOUS card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew you when you lived in Upstate NY because that is where all my family is from. It would be easy to visit!! LOVE your little card. The wood background is perfect and I love how you colored the chairs but not the girl!!!
ReplyDeletePutting chairs on the wall might make sweeping easier, but it would be tricky trying to sit down, I think! Love your colored easy chairs with the delightful little girls reading! A wonderful sentiment too!

ReplyDeleteI have seen those chairs at Shaker Village! Your chairs look much more comfy! Adorable card!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, now that other post makes more sense. I read blogs in a reader and the most current one comes up first. This is adorable. Where's the gray chair?! You could make one of the blue ones gray and move it next to the green one and we could read side by side! :) Wonderful work, my friend!
ReplyDeleteHey Michele! This is such a fun card and is a wonderful take on the Inspired By Challenge theme! I often forget how effective repetition can be and you have used it to perfection here! Simply beautiful! I do agree with you on your other post that Donna's sketch is brilliant! I've got an entire folder devoted to CTS layouts and I think most of the ones I have saved for reference are hers! : ) Have a great weekend!

Brilliant X 6!
ReplyDeleteI've often wished I could hang the chairs on a wall to get them out of the way :) It's an easy way to wipe down the legs, too :) Love your take on the inspiration photo, Michele...you nailed it, once again!

ReplyDeleteOh I just love that inspiration photo, and this is such a great interpretation. Love that little reader on her colorful comfy chairs. I love that you left her with no color...
