It's anything goes with The Flower Challenge this month!
With a delightful option of using one of the

I had no problem choosing a few of Rachel's designs from her Etsy Shop but I did appreciate the bit of hand holding Rachel gave me downloading them... thanks, Rachel - wonderful customer service! Here is the beauty I picked from the garden of delights:
Inside: What better way to say it, than with roses?
I printed my digi onto a 5x7 piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper... I learned that the bigger the sheet of paper, the easier it was for my old printer to push it through!
I've done a bit more dotted water coloring on this image. This time using Altenew inks - I'll list them below. My sentiment is from the latest EH release [on sale thru Sunday], called It's all Good by Julie.
Hope you are all settled in, and happily crafting, playing cards, games, or extending the jigsaw puzzle season! I'll be doing just that ... just as soon as this is delivered to The Flower Challenge - hey! why not play??

Holy Moley! What a fabulous floral you made. The watercoloring is nothing short of fantastic. Very impressive. I really do need to start that class now that I'm feeling so much better. I think this really is a winner.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the soft colour combo and bold images, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI guess I never read far enough on The Flower Challenge to read the optional option, but boy do I love the digi you chose...absolutely BEAUTIFUL and your water coloring is FABULOUS!! Like the stitching too...some day I'm going to be brave enough to try that!! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! :0)
ReplyDeleteLove the coloring on this one Michele. Great choice on image.
ReplyDeleteThat dotted technique with the water colour is wonderful. I shall have to look into that, it is a really stunning effect. love the subtle colours you have used xx
ReplyDeleteStunning Michele, your colour choices are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh, how pretty! Your water coloring is fabulous and I like the added stitching. Are you and the sewing machine getting along any better? Mine and myself...we have a love/hate relationship LOL!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful soft watercoloring, Michele. I love your color choices and CAS design. TFS Hugs..Nancy
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, as always. I really love that dot effect. I’m going to try that with my next watercolor piece. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI love the feeling of texture on this, Michele! What a wonderful technique, my friend! I for one am enjoying the opportunity to play more and go out less!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty, Michele ... so fresh and stylish ... the soft dotted colouring is just gorgeous ... love the stitched detailing! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThis sure is beautiful, Michele! Great ideas to keep busy. I just started knitting a pair of socks! :)
ReplyDeleteWOW!! This is GORGEOUS!! I LOVE the stippled watercolor. How do you have the patience? I don't even like watercolor because I have to wait for things to dry in between!!
ReplyDeleteThough supposedly we have the next two weeks off from work, I could be called in at any time to do anything as they are still paying me. Not very happy about that because a) the school building is DISGUSTING and not being deep cleaned through all this and b) I am afraid they are going to ask me to baby sit kids and I am NOT up for that. Chris is in the high risk category and don't want to bring things home to him. If I had my druthers, I would be happy to shelter in place. I have so many cleaning projects I would like to do!!
MMMMM! I've missed you!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like your machine is working fine, Michele, and so are your paintbrushes. You need to show me that dotted technique. Thanks for sharing your lovely roses with us at The Flower Challenge.
ReplyDeleteStunning image and I so love the colour combination and stitching x.
ReplyDeleteThis is one gorgeous card Michele! LOVE the colour and the visual texture from your dots. Great work! xx
