I have two cards, for two different challenges today … first up, The Flower Challenge #41:
I was so lucky to win their challenge recently, and I couldn't wait to download my prize from AlexSyberia! Thank you, Alex! I chose her gorgeous Clematis digital image... then set about fussy cutting it down to one bloom, and coloring that with Copic markers. My leaves [from The Stamp Market] added were very simple, and simply colored in shades of neutral grey.
There's that MFT Elegant Rectangle again! a pretty sentiment from Altenew's Freesia, and a smattering of Pinkfresh Studio Essentials Jewels!
I really love how this turned out … hope you do, too!
Next up, another little flower card, and btw I even added leaves to this one!! MFT has an ongoing Birthday Project Challenge. I have need of a few birthday cards, and who doesn't love flowers on their big day?
Inside:
Happy is good every day of the year, but especially nice on your birthday!
I've partially die cut these Flowers in Bloom that are simple in their design, and very simple to color... today I've chosen Distress Oxides … and added leaves from Altenew's Sunflower Daisy set, and a happy sentiment from Sweet Birthday Wishes!
That's it! Thanks for dropping by, and for sharing a bit of your day with me!
=] Michele
Gosh Michele, both of these are SO pretty! Absolutely LOVE your 1st card! It is just GORGEOUS in all it's purple-y goodness and the added leaves and die cut behind make this card absolutely STUNNING! And your 2nd card is just as beautiful with those soft colors for your trio of flowers. Beautiful design too!! Lovely, lovely cards my friend! Hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day today too!! :0)
ReplyDeleteWell now I can say I received gorgeous flowers for Valentine’s Day! The purple is fabulous and I love how you added leaves to those sweetly colored daisies! Beautifully done! Happy ❤️ Day!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the clematis, Michele! The gray leaves work beautifully and the die cut adds even more elegance! Another winner? Your flowers in bloom are so beautifully colored and I love how you've added the leaves! I need to remember to do that! I didn't know they had a Birthday challenge. Thanks for the heads up. Happy Gal-entine's day to you, my sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteWow Michele what stunning cards again! I adore the first one esp. and now I NEED that stamp too lol. Both cards are so lovely though, thanks for sharing with us again over at 'The Flower Challenge';) Viv DT xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Michele ... both of them! The clematis in purple is gorgeous with those delicately coloured grey leaves ... and that second card puts me in mind of dreamy wildflower meadows drifting softly in the breeze ... lovely! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteMore beautiful cards! Jo x
ReplyDelete"That's it" is a HUGE understatement. Both these floral cards are exceptional. That clematis you showcased with the leaves is exquisite and a winner in my book, AGAIN! And those blooms on your second card are going to really please their recipient...so classy with the partial diecutting.
ReplyDeleteIt's 11 degrees outside so these are looking pretty good!! They honestly do, they're beautiful. I especially like the second one!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! I'm so thankful that you can't see me drooling here Michele... I just adore these... LOVE the colouring on both and the purple and grey look so beautiful! What pretty jewels they are too!

ReplyDeleteThese are both gorgeous. Loving the gray leaves. I really need to get started on my 2020 goal of doing more florals. Lol!
Gorgeous to die for! That's what I feel about that first one... and the second is lovely with it's partial die-cutting -- so pretty.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful cards...and your coloring is super! I'm inspired.
ReplyDeleteI love the color and simplicity of the second card but the lavender Clematis is spectacular, Michele. Thanks for sharing it with us at The Flower Challenge.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are fabulous, Michele! Great design and coloring!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the clematis card. It's so elegant and purple/lavender is my favorite color. The light gray leaves look so good with the flower. The shiny jewels are a wonderful finishing touch.
The partially die-cut flowers are pretty and cheerful. Love the color combo (flowers and leaves).

Congrats on your well-deserved win at The Flower Challenge!!!
ReplyDeleteTwo really gorgeous cards, Michele! I love that you chose violet for the blooms with gray leaves on the first one, and how you colored the flower petals with DOX inks...Lovely, my friend!
Congrats on your win Michele, I can't think of anyone more deserving! I am totally in love with both of these cards. The clematis card is just gorgeous! I so love how you Copic colored your bloom, wish I could color like that! Love the leaves colored in the neutral gray shades and loving the elegant mat you have used. Just gorgeous! The second card is beautiful too, loving how you have colored these blooms with the oxides. They are so sunny and warm feeling-I can almost feel the sun on my face! Your leaves look amazing as well. Yep, this one has me wanting spring and summer more than ever. lol Hugs, Brenda
