I have two cards for you today … one a Valentine, one with feel-better-hugs! BOTH full of love for those Twofer Card Challenge gals who we are all happily celebrating as it is their SECOND blog-a-versary!
Here's the zinger - I only cut this die ONCE! oh I can't take the credit - that all goes to *Lil' Inkers! Have you heard the sad news? Lil' Inkers is closing after 10 years of fabulous products! This Fringed Scalloped Heart is available for 70% off!!One pass through my machine gives me a positive, and a positively perfect aperture to fill with fun. Enough chit chat...
I just love the 'ruffles' this Heart die cuts!
The card base was fancied up with my new RC Stitched Scallops cover plate.
The die cut SWEET [another die from Lil' Inkers*] - and the tiny heart were both heat
embossed with layers and layers of gold embossing powder. A smattering
of gold Gansai Tambi gold paint - I think this Hamster did it!
His shirt originally had a Christmas tree on it - it was easy to
change it to a heart because the set included it!
Inside:
Sending feel-better hugs, and love - which are almost as soothing as Chicken Soup!
BTW this hugger is on a wobbler - can you stand it?
BTW this hugger is on a wobbler - can you stand it?
My side-kicks today are from Waffle Flower Crafts, called Winter Hamsters - I must have been thinking of you, D!
That's it for me today … we didn't get as much snow as was forecast, but the day isn't done yet! Hope you are all snug as a bug and enjoying your weekend!
=] Michele
looking totally sweet from here too!
ReplyDeleteMichele,
ReplyDeleteThese cards are very pretty in their white heartness. Using one die to make two cards is good for increasing the stash. Thanks so much for playing along at Twofer Card Challenge.
Two too delightful cards! Love that stylish heart die!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome Twofer using the die cut heart and the leftover aperture:-) TFS your Sweet cards, Michele. Hugs..Nancy
ReplyDeleteoh my CUTE. Those lil hamsters are so ADORABLE.
ReplyDeleteOh for cute! These are adorable and oh so fun, Michele. Thanks for sharing! Glad you didn't get buried!
ReplyDeleteHammy will be wanting to go meet your little guy, Michele! Two fun cards with that ruffled die that leaves a ruffled left behind piece! Love that the second card looks like a shaker without the stress. I need to remember that trick!
ReplyDeleteHow fun and sweet! Love the hamsters on the hearts and all the lovely details!!!
ReplyDeleteMichele, these are adorable, and just the ticket to make a Valentine's card for our youngest Grand! Thank you for the great idea!
ReplyDeleteLoving the die you used where you only had to cut once to get two hearts, and oooooh la la...the ruffles too! Those little hamsters are just too CUTE Michele, so you know Hammy is gong to love these cards. Loving all the layers of gold embossing on the "sweet" and the heart too! Cute, CUTE cards my friend!! :0)
ReplyDeleteFor your first "Sweet" card, I have to say that as much as I love that heart, it's that cover plate I am coveting right now, lol!! The gold accents don't overtake your design, and help Hammie's cousin shine. Gorgeous card! Your second card is one I 'heartily' enjoy!! (sorry....) The paper, that banner, the teeny-tiny tag, and of course another one of Hammie's cousins! Cute, cute, cute! Oh, and btw...sending sunshine today instead of snow across the lake! xo Bev
ReplyDeleteThese are darling!!!! Not much snow for us either. 😉🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ReplyDeleteYou and Darnell have cornered the hamster population...I own this set, too, which reminds me to drag it out. Anyway, they look simply adorable with this lovely ruffled heart and it only took one cut. Of course, your meticulous attention to detail really makes them both stand out.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty are those ruffles around the heart Michele and how adorable are your cards? Hammy is super cute and love the addition of the little heart x. Hope the snow doesn't get worse? x
ReplyDeleteOMGosh, these hamster heart cards are adorable Michele! I've not seen these little guys before, but then I'm not seeing much of anything lately. The heart die is so pretty and different and oh so cute used both ways on your cards. Well done on these twofers my friend! You had me at action wobble! lol Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteFancy die cutting there! I love that the negative and positive have those cutesy ruffles! Mr Hamster sure is all spit-shined and ready for his wiggle fest! Adorable cards, Michele
ReplyDeleteOh these are so adorable! You have fabulous goodies and always make the best cards with them.
ReplyDeleteHow clever you are to use the positive and negative from this die, Michele! Your little hamster is so cute and I love your choice of sentiments...Really fun cards!
ReplyDeleteOh... good... grief... could these BE any cuter!! I think Hammy is going to be tickled pink to see some of his Michigan relatives showing up in the Twofer gallery. Good news about the snow ;)
ReplyDeleteThese are totally adorable, so sweet, so fun and wonderfully made

That hamster is squeal worthy, and on a wobbler? - stop it! Both cards are wonderful, Michele! I love the fringes on the hearts and the font of that "sweet" die cut. So sad when a company closes. Thanks for joining in the fun with us for the Twofer Card Challenge second blogaversary!
ReplyDeleteHamster cards are perfect for celebrating the second blog-a-versary of Darnell's challenge, Michele! Hammy must be smiling.
ReplyDeleteThese cares are filled with cuteness, and I especially love the fringed scalloped hearts and the gold heat-embossed sentiment & a heart. The cover plated and dry embossed backgrounds are a really nice touch.
Hideko xx
Two utter cuties, Michele ... a deliciously textured background for that hamster filled ruffle-edged heart ... the sweetheart sentiment in the rich gold is gorgeous with the grey! A hamster on a wobbler ... goodness, he can give me a hug any time ... so sweet, so much fun! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteTwo darling little critters sending messages of love and good will. Wonderful design, Michele. Too bad about Lil' Inkers. I know you have a lot of their dies.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your win at Twofer. Appears as though we both got lucky.
