Inspired By #84... back to school!
I remember, as if it were yesterday, the bittersweet back-to-school days! Ready to get back to a normal schedule... sad to get back to scheduling at all!
There are so many inspiring images in our Inspired By #84 image, aren't there? I spotted the dots, the red, and that perfect sunny window... and found the sweetest stand-in for my sweet Lola who is starting high school this year!!! Forget about it being August already... how did THAT happen so fast?? Seems to me grandkids grow faster than their parents ever did!
So! Where did that photo, or the phrase Back to School take you? Right into the IB gallery, I hope!
Thanks so much for stopping in today!

It will soon be that time. Great coloring and I love all the dimension of this fun card!
ReplyDeleteDarling card Michele. I loved back to school...clothes shopping and new supplies...such a geek I was and still am!
ReplyDeleteLove this design, and your fab coloring.
Yep! It's getting to be that time again. I'm sure your sweet Granddaughter is going to love this card. I know what you mean about them growing up so fast. Grandson 1st year of High School, 1 Granddaughter off to college and a 2nd one diligently working at her full time job. I did not have enough time to be with them when they were younger...now, they text all the time.
ReplyDeleteBring on Summer I say lol. Love your happy cheery design Michele!
ReplyDeleteAwww!! Super, super cute!! And summer is flying by TOO FAST!
ReplyDeleteHigh School...say it isn't so!! On the bright side, you've created a perfectly delightful card for Lola. Our baby girl starts Advanced Pre-School next week. Needless to say, I will be having serious Sweet P withdraw!!
ReplyDeleteOh Michele, I so feel for you! My oldest is ready to step into college. Say it isn't so!! They do have the pesky habit of growing up way faster than we want them to! Good luck to all heading back. My lazy relaxing days of summer will end next week and I'm sprawling hanging on to the door jam for dear life. LOL Say it isn't so!!! I LOVE your card. Wonderful color combo and so lovely. Your coloring is fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh I can so relate! All of the elements on your card are fabulous! Came together perfectly! When I was still teaching this was the time of year I would be in my classroom every day getting ready gettting ready getting ready..........
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute scene, Michele ... captures the vibe of the photo beautifully! I've never figured out how come my niece/nephews have reached their 20s when I'm still only 24 ... guess the same can be said for grandchildren! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous take on the inspiration photo Michele. I love your "window" and your girl is just perfect as a back to school high schooler. Loving the sun and fun papers you used as well. I don't know where the summer went or how it got to be August already. I know I'm not ready to let go of the summer, the high humidity, intense heat-yes that can do, but the summer can hang around longer. Or else I need fall to last longer so that winter is shorter. lol Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteAnother really cute back to school card, Michele! I love how you placed the school girl and how you played with the circles and stripes...I think Lola is going to love this card!!!
ReplyDeleteThis card is so perfect for any teacher! I always thought that when I taught! Love all the details in this fun card! My grands have already been in school for two weeks. Where did the summer go? Or this year for that matter?!?!? XX
