Subbing In is one of those sets that will be fresh for ages … AND Ellen has added a few more fun stand-alone dies that coordinate perfectly with it, too: Porthole includes the porthole die, and a few under-the-sea accoutrements like coral and plants and star fish, and bubbles! Another Waves has two different wave dies - I actually used one of them in a totally different way for tomorrow's grand reveal! Have I mentioned the Hop? and PRIZES?? So excited! One more sleep!
Okay... enough of the chit chat … you probably came for the card!!
Leave it to my 14 y.o granddaughter to think about
the Jonas Brothers when she read the caption...
haven't heard it? It's a goodie!
There's a little hitchhiker hanging on for dear life! MAN did I work hard, and way beyond my usual no-fuss Copic coloring for this one … I was determined to make it look a bit submerged! I'm pretty happy with it... and there is one of the wave dies I mentioned!!!
Okay... I'll be back tomorrow at noon EST with a few of my favorite peeps for that HOP I've been teasing you about... see you then? Sure do appreciate it when you stop by!
xx
Fantastic work, Michele! Don't listen to the Jonas Bros, so don't get the reference. But that is totally okay. I love the card anyway! That guy sure is hanging on for dear life. haha! But your coloring is fabulous! Well worth any extra effort it took. Wowza! :)
ReplyDeleteWow this is amazing.....and adorable....and I usually don’t use that word when there is an octopus involved! I can’t imagine what tomorrow will bring!
ReplyDeleteLove it! He's too cute hanging on for dear life! And yes I do know the Jonas Brothers song, because I have a 16 year old daughter!!
ReplyDeleteOne word...SUB-lime!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card, Michele! Your Copic coloring is perfect and I love how you added the wave! You're really on a roll...I can't wait until tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteYou should be happy with it, I love the way you've submerged the sub! I got a kick out of the hitchhiker too. CUTE card!
ReplyDeleteYou rocked the underwater coloring Michele...worth every second of effort. Darling.
ReplyDeleteAll that Copics coloring was worth it to get your watery ocean scene for your sub and octopus. Perfect sentiment. TFS my friend. Hugs...Nancy
ReplyDeleteACK! How cute is this?!!! Amazing job coloring to get the effect you were looking for! You nailed it, my friend!!!
ReplyDeleteYou did some AMAZING coloring on this background! EH is going to get a bit of my (husband's LOL!) hard earned money later today. RoFL!
ReplyDeleteAnd submerged it looks! Your card and your colouring are brilliant Michele!
ReplyDeleteWhatever you did to get that wonderful ocean look remember it, Michele, because it looks perfectly watery.
ReplyDeleteAwesome colouring on your semi-submerged sub, Michele ... it's brilliant, such a cool effect ... and that little hitch-hiker is adorable! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteVery cool card Michele! I love the way your sub looks like it is half in and half out of the water. I don't know how you did it, but it looks very cool. I had to laugh at the octopus and the sentiment in combination with the song. lol I had forgotten about this song. Yep, your granddaughter was sharp with the sentiment! lol Now I got this song stuck in my head with the Yellow Submarine. haha Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteAmazing job of copic coloring, Michele! You colored the translucent waves so well that I, at first, thought you used a piece of vellum or something. The octopus is so adorable!!
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
Your submerging technique works great! And I think that is the cutest octopus ever!
