I'll give you a link here to #32 so you can take a trip down memory lane with us... btw if you played in June 2013 - please, share your first card next to your newest CTS #328 version!
I've taken Dad's hammer to this one … always a bit of fun to use an embossing folder this way - but watch how hard you hit it! [ask me how I know how hard is too hard - yikes!]
I've also borrowed one of my friend Laurie's trademark ways with cards using my scoreboard!
A quick and easy way to make CAS cute, don't you think? I look forward to seeing what you made back then, and make brand new!

ReplyDeleteOh those polkas are suuuuch fun Michele... and a hammer? I must add that to the list of tools I need in my crafty space lol. ps I did take a walk down memory lane and totally forgot that I had made that card.... obviously the memory is not so good lol.
ReplyDeleteHappy Happy Happy...love it!!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, the magic of a hammer/embossing folder!! I do not know this technique. Please share!!
ReplyDeleteGreat Scott! Who'da thunk you could whack an embossing folder and have something so darling fall out?! Great card, love the "patch" of embossing and the bright pink sentiment!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous take on the sketch Michele!! I love your "hammer" technique on the embossing part. Still haven't gotten brave enough to do this, but might have to soon have a play. I haven't had a play on anything in a long time now, so time to start with something. Love the "hey" die, to cute in that polka dot paper. Love the straight line embossing too. I used to do that a good bit, but kinda' got out of it for whatever reason. Need to go back to it once in a while. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteLove your thinking on the interpretation of this sketch.
ReplyDeleteHEY one terrific card <3
Jo xx
Let me get this straight...you hammered the embossing folder to create that mini texture??? I have never heard of this! So creative! Hoping to play along!
ReplyDeleteLove that bright polka dot hey and the bit of embossing on the side! Along with the scoring it gives so much texture and interest!
ReplyDeleteYou are so clever, Michele! Your score lines and hammer embossing is fabulous and I LOVE the hot pink polka dots on your sentiment with those darling blooms peeking out from behind...Love this charming CAS card so much :)

ReplyDeleteA 'stan' is from the Eminem song (of the same name) and is
a STalker fAN ! :-)
The red polka dots got my attention, Michele. And so did the hammer technique. I must have been on vacation in 2013 because I don't have a card in that gallery. I hope I have time to do one for this one.
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the sketch, Michele! Love the bright red polka dotted hey! Using a hammer to dry emboss!? You're so clever, and your dad is happy to see you make this fabulous card with his hammer. I should have kept the hammer my dad used to use as a keepsake...
