… it had to bee YOU! Oh dear, stop me now or it could go on for hours!
Those Twofer gals are asking us for BEES!! I had a few buzzing about so I had to play along!
My bumble bee is from Verve - called The Buzz - I miss that company! and this is one of those timeless sets! Perfect for my duo!
Card one is an encouragement/never give up card - everyone knows that it's a scientific wonder that a bumblebee can fly, right? His wings seem far too small to carry the weight of his body... a little miracle with wings!
Card two is a thank you … it uses a phrase that I just don't hear enough - don't you love that honeycomb? of course it's full of honey, and cut from glitzy yellow cardstock!
Honeycomb??!!! oh, oh. there's another song brewing! I better get these posted or the lyrics will block my brain!
I had one more bee in my Bun-ette… have a great weekend, my friends! Thanks for buzzing in today!

ReplyDeleteThese are winners...honoring our diligent little freindes, the bees. Love the "miracle" card. And the thank you glittery honeycomb seems like the best home for this little critter. Have to say, the last card is absolutely how my brain works...buzzing all the time. Now that I have the ear worm, Honeycomb, in my head, all I can see is Jimmy Rodgers face. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteLove bee cards and yours are delightful......and I love to say "you're the bees knees!"
ReplyDeleteHaha, M, you just couldn't resist, could you? And I don't blame you. At this age, I think of my scattered thoughts as gnats, but perhaps they are bees!! Your two designs for Twofer are brilliant, as always! That is one gorgeous bee image and I love how you have designed your clean and crisp and thoughtful cards around her! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #17! Hugs, Darnell

ReplyDelete"...a wontcha be my own?!" Yeah, I'm dating myself!! Not one, but TWO fabby cards, my friend! LOVE what you've done with both of these bee-auties! Your encouragement card is lovely. The black and yellow are wonderful against all the white. Darling bee, too. And yep, I miss Verve too! Your second card is a hoot and a stunner! The overlay is perfect, and the glittery yellowy honeycomb is fantastic. You've created a couple of lovelies! Thanks, Michele, for playing along at the Twofer Challenge!! xo Bev
ReplyDeleteThree fabulous cards Michele! I like the texture the honeycomb gives your first one and the second is perfectly CAS. But the last one gave me a good giggle!

ReplyDeleteYOU are the bee's knees, my friend! LOVE what you have created. Especially that last one where she has a bee in bunnette! Oh so clever you! Thank you for being a continual delight!
ReplyDeleteOh my, Michele you have out done yourself on these two adorable Bees Knees CAS card designs. Love the crisp, clean, bright look of your 1st two cards. Your 3rd card is so clever and silly! Love all 3 creations, my friend. Hugs...Nancy
ReplyDeleteWinner, winner...Chicken dinner!!! Your Twofer cards are GORGEOUS, Michele! I had no idea you had so many great stamps and dies for this theme...I adore the embossed honeycomb background and how you included elements from BP 33! And your bees are so pretty! You really nailed it!!!
ReplyDeleteYour Bun-ette card is so clever, Michele! I love the dual sentiments and that you colored her hair gray...way to go, my friend!
Buzzing by to say wow awesome cards!
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed by your creative and clever designs and these are no exception, Michele! Love the attention to details - the 3 yellow mini hexagons and the 2 white hexagons of the first card, the use of glitter yellow paper and the glossy bee body of the second card. The third one makes me smile and I totally get it!

... to those who believe! Love how you tied the ability of your sweet bee to fly to the sentiment, Michele ... fresh, crisp, clever! Luscious honeycomb texture and dimension on your bee's knees card ... you made your bee look wonderfully different from the first card, with your colouring and all that shiny gloss! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable cards, Michele, just what we're looking for when we come visit! They're not only wonderful, but great sentiments too -- and your way with words is awesome too!
ReplyDeleteOh please don't let that song rattle around my brain today! Well, if it reminds me of your sweet bee cards, then I'll let it - They are all wonderful! Great encouragement and a fantastic design on your encouragement card. I love the three different hexagons on your bee's knees and the art deco font from the era! Too much hairspray - lol! Such a fun card! Thanks for joining the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
ReplyDeleteLove all of these but that last one is hilarious!!!!! I have a few Verve stamps still in my stash as well.
