Isn't it fun? I have a literal take, and a second helping for this one! Here you go...
Well. it is nesting season... and I did have all those fun primary papers out! AND a sweet little PTI bird set
borrowed from a friend - thanks, Marcia!

I wondered what YOU'd come up with for this sketch Michele, and I love your 1st literal take on the sketch, but I really LOVE your 2nd card with the colorful nest...AWESOME my friend!! And that little birdie definitely looks right at home in your beautiful nest!! A+ :0)
ReplyDeleteWow, a literal and and unexpected take and both are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteWow, what cool cards! Jo x
ReplyDeleteHoly moley...love all those splashes of color against that clean white on both cards...and the crisp black sentiments. But, oh my, that bird is exceptional.
ReplyDeleteWhat a challenging sketch....you nailed it, of course! What fun graphics!
ReplyDeleteNow why isn't that a bluebird? I guess so she didn't compete with the colorful nest. Your literal take is spot on, Michele, and probably the way I would go if I find time to make a card.
ReplyDeleteFabulous!!! I really like your literal version of the sketch. That's what I would have done. Your second take is a wonderful explosion of color! What a beautiful bird image. Wow!
ReplyDeleteYou call it a tricky sketch and yet you nailed it!! Both so fabulous!
ReplyDeleteTwo awesome ways to use scraps and do cards for kids or adults! Thanks for the inspiration, Michele!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your literal take on the sketch, Michele! Both cards are really fun...I love how you stacked all those colorful strips to create a nest for your sweet bird! and how you paired your sentiments on the first one! As always, you nailed it, my friend!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun and creative cards using the sketch. Love your colors too. TFS Michele. Hugs...
ReplyDeletehahaha I just love your 'nest version', sometimes those sketches are tricky, but seriously you rocked it my friend!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! LOVE your nesting bird card, Michele.
ReplyDeleteGenius.

Two pretty cards, but the nesting bird is just fun! Love his "stick nest"!
ReplyDeleteYou totally nailed that sketch - not once but twice! The bold colors work perfectly for the graphic look of the sketch.
ReplyDeleteI love that you added something special even to the literal take, Michele! Placing the white sentiment die-cut over the colorful blocks is a brilliant idea. And the "thinking-outside-the-box" take is simply amazing! It looks like a piece of modern art!
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
Your creative brain was in high gear, these are T-riffic! Absolutely love the second one!
ReplyDeleteThose bright colors make a fabulous backdrop! Tricky sketch but you are trickier!
ReplyDeleteAnother fun sketch and I am loving your "literal" take on it Michele! So fun, colorful and happy feeling. Your second card is just as clever, loving the "nest" of colorful paper with that cute birdie sitting on top. Again perfect sentiment. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous texture-y nest for your cute bird, Michele ... and cool, graphic, stylish colour blocking ... both brilliant! Hugs, Anita :)
