CAS Stencil Challenge - April

I am so happy to be playing along with
CAS Stencil's April Challenge!  My sweet friend Barb is Hostess this month, and she has chosen a really fun technique, and given us plenty of inspiring videos to watch - thanks Barb!!

I've borrowed leaves from Laura, and
the neutral of kraft from Yana!
I even added my very own twist!  Check it out...

After laying down a base of dimensional paste through The Leaf Effect stencil from W&W, and while still wet, I gave it a press with an MFT Diagonal Stripe background stamp!  I love the way it turned out … I hope Barb does, too!

Those scripty words are from Stamplorations, and the 'labels' are stamped with EBE Random Sayings Vol. II.

Here's a question for all of you... am I the only one that saves every blooming thing?  Those little squiggles are a 'left over' from another die cut - and I love the way they worked here!

I'm all caught up with blog posts, and laundry!  So I'll take advantage of these few spare hours in my day... thanks for spending a bit of YOUR time with me!

  1. LOVE this!! what a fun and unique design. I come to expect nothing less from you my friend : )

I am a saver too. I have a big box of die cuts that I didn't use or pieces of an image or background snippet I know will come in handy some day! LOL I actually give them away a lot as I have some friends who love raiding my "bin"

I just love the snippets you added here! Simply Splendid indeed : )

  7. Clever alert, clever alert! Oh my goodness, Miss Clever! What a great idea to stamp into the paste. It looks amazing. And so does your card. I keep some things, but not all, else I'd be buried in schtuff. Those little swirls add such a nice finishing touch. So glad you kept them! Wonderful card!

  10. Hope the laundry wasn't too harrowing...glad you're done. And really glad you shared this amazing card. Using the background stamp for additional texture makes it extraordinary as do those super cute curlicues next to the pretty sentiment. And, yes, I save my bits, too.
