After seeing CTS #315, it was clear that I had to play cards with one of the many beautiful butterflies I have at my disposal... thanks, N@!
First up, a very old MFT set that still makes my heart flutter! and the impression of the bold band in the Sketch using an old Cuttlebug embossing strip!
THEN, while searching for those butterfly dies, I came across another oldie-but-goodie die, and this happened:
Well that surely is a fun stand in, right? It will be sent off to a very brave friend across the pond who deserves support for her battle with breast cancer.
I'm wondering if the entire team used a butterfly [or pretty stand-in for her!] … let's go see!

Both are fabulous cards for the sketch Michele.
ReplyDeleteBoth are awesome but have to say I wish I owned a bra that beautiful...with a butterfly to aid your pal in her fight. Just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYour butterfly is absolutely stunning, Michele! I love your color palette and your embossing and lovely sentiment are just perfect! I also love your 2nd card...what a great way to send 'support' to your friend :)
ReplyDeleteFun indeed, I knew you would rock this one... and you did it twice!
ReplyDeleteLove both cards, but the second one really appealed to the feminine side of me. This definitely is special.
ReplyDeleteTWO Beauties!!! xx
Nah, you don't really care much for butterflies...LOL!! This sketch is so you!! Love the interest the embossing adds to the first card and the pretty PP you used on the second. A double dose of prettiness!
ReplyDeleteLove the dry embossed texture for your band and the beautiful die cut butterfly on your 1st CAS card, Michele. Love your fun, colorful and clever design for your brave girl friend on your 2nd card. I am sure she will smile and love your thoughtful fun card. TFS my friend. Hugs..Nancy
ReplyDeleteThat deep coral butterfly pops so wonderfully against the fabulous texture, Michele! What fun your second card is ... such a gorgeous bra in that yummy pp ... love how the butterfly wings nestle perfectly into it's lovely lines! Wouldn't it be delicious to wear something as beautiful! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteperfect embossing strip!
ReplyDeleteLove your second card too, so fun and perfect for your friend.
Both cards are fabulous in their own right. I really like the texture on the butterfly in the first card. I know it's a stamped image, but it gives the illusion of texture. Then the embossing looks wonderful against it. The second card made me smile. That's a beautiful bra! Love the papers you chose for it and the sweet little yellow butterfly. Wonderful work, Michele.
ReplyDeleteI also wish your friend my best wishes for her recovery. That's a hard battle to fight. I'm sure she treasures your support. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are just fabulous Michele! You're so thoughtful to send some love to your friend across the pond. I think we all know someone who could use a lift. ;0)
ReplyDeleteAlways so much to see on my visits here......sweet sweet butterfly cards! And oh that flowery bra.....wonderful card......sure to bring a smile to your friend!
ReplyDeleteHow creative are you? Both cards are wonderful and so unique and a fabulous take on the sketch x
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE your first card with that lovely butterfly. However, the second really floats my boat. Totally FUN. GREAT takes on that sketch!!
ReplyDeleteMichele, I love the simple color combo with a great mix of texture (linen cs panel, embossing, postcard pattern on the butterfly) of the first card! The sentiment is perfectly snugged. The second card for your brave friend will sure cheer her up!
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
Another fun sketch, two more amazing cards! I love them both Michele! The butterfly one is just a great encouragement card, love the embossing and that butterfly. Your second card is a perfect thank you card for anyone that maybe is going through breast cancer or just a fun thank you card. I love the little butterfly in the center of the bra/bathing suit top. So cute is that paper too!!! Reminder to me to use my little butterfly punches and stamps! lol Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteI could see how your love for butterflies would lead you in this direction, Michele, but then your clever out-of-the-box designs made me think you'd go a different way. The surprise is on me. You did both, and did them well.
ReplyDeleteI've got that MFT butterfly set and I love it too! Two gorgeous and clever cards!
ReplyDeleteLove your literal take (MFT butterfly??) as well as the "supportive" take on the sketch. So clever!
