CAS[E] this Sketch #310

Sometimes the simplest Sketch can be the toughest for me to see!  Do you ever feel this way?  Here is an example for CTS#310:

I decided to keep my card CAS and play with patterns - this time via the MFT rose covered background stamp: Roses all Over!  and a really pretty neutral mocha-ish ink from Catherine Pooler, called Over Coffee. [silly Catherine... who could ever get over coffee?]

So.  You can see that the simplest of Sketches can indeed be a little tricky... and really pretty, too!  Hope to see a little something from YOU this week!

  1. Girl, I am so behind on my blog rounds, but I just HAD to pop in and say hi! Thank you so so so much for all of your love - just read all your sweet notes this morning and now I'm wearing a huge smile! :) Which is growing bigger seeing this sweet card! I love it so much and you pulled this simple sketch off perfectly! It's so elegant, yet graphic at the same time. Love it to bits!

  4. Such a clever take on the sketch my friend, I am definitely a colour girl myself but it was this challenge that really helped me with my 'sketch phobia' you should have seen my email when Jackie asked me to join, it was like, me? a sketch challenge? and she was right when she said it would be good fun!

  5. Gorgeous CAS take on the sketch, Michele! I'm loving those beautiful roses and your color palette is stunning! I'm wondering if Catherine means 'Let's have a chat over coffee'...speaking of which, this week has really flown by!

Heads up: The prompt for the current CAS Christmas Challenge is 'Peace'...just sayin'

  8. I agree about simple sketches being more difficult because there are so many options to choose from. You and those roses made a fabulous CAS card, Michele.
