Sometimes I just love to look for the most obscure details of Laurel's fab photos... see if you can find what I was inspired by this week... I even brought out my fil's cherished hammer to add a teensy bit of the texture found there, too!
Meet Lola... at an earlier age! She's a darling 13 year old now!
Tom has helped me use Photoshop to create a coloring book page from a colored photo. I added color just to her gorgeous eyes, and Copic colored the background. What do you think?
Now. what will you be Inspired By for #54??
=] Michele
Wow.....total work of art! Oh those eyes.....
ReplyDeleteI can see the blanket texture and the sweet lil heart image on the wall. those were the things that popped out at from the inspiration photo and you transferred them fabulously to your card.
ReplyDeleteWow, stunning!! It looks so realistic and completely hand-drawn. I would have never known. The blue accent is such a sweet touch. Love this!
ReplyDeleteWOW! So impactful...those eyes on your sweet girl and the varied texture sent me over the moon. Could it be that the picture in the corner and the throws on the bed provided your inspiration? Just asking.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness...you are so creative, Michele! I love how you added a pop of soft blue to her gorgeous eyes and brought it to the heart and background, too! I'm so impressed!!!
ReplyDeleteI was drawn right to those pretty eyes! This is spectacular Michele. What a guy that Tom is to lend a helping hand!
ReplyDeleteWow, stunning! What an amazing work of art. Love how you focused on her beautiful eyes!
ReplyDeleteThis is truly frameable art!! wow! I love the minimal coloring you did and tell me did you actually hammer that EF for selected embossing!? and you wonder why I bow!!
ReplyDeleteThis one is a show stopper Michele!
I found my answer. :) you and Tom make a great team! Love how you were inspired, too. I would have totally looked past the portrait abd the writing in the photo. This is so special! PS She’s beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou MUST frame this, Michele! It's such a work of he{art}! I am in awe. You find inspiration and you run with it and apply your wonderful creativity. You and your husband make a dynamic duo. Wow!! Thank you SO much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteShut the front door!!!! This is amazing! First off I can see where your inspiration came from and yes, that bed looks amazingly comfortable and a good place to snuggle down in! But the photo is fabulous in it as well and I love that it is the way you went. I can't believe you can make a coloring book page from a photo! I love the way you added color just to her eyes, it is such a sweet image of her to make into a card!I'm just blown away here. It also looks like it is embossed, but I guess it is the texture of the paper. I am totally loving this my friend! Now are you going to sent this to this sweet 13 year old?!! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous! The texture and the pops of color work so beautifully with this adorable image.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Love your coloring book (tell us please how you did it); and I ADORE the colored background and her gorgeous eyes! Good use of sweater texture too...
ReplyDeleteI think you just created a new style of card my friend, you are so clever, talented and did I say talented? Hugs x
ReplyDeleteApart from anything else, Michele, Lola is gorgeous ... if she has eyes this blue, the boys are going to be falling over themselves in a few years! Splendid card, gorgeous knitted texture! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteOMG! How did I miss this!?
ReplyDeleteThis is not only a fantastic interpretation of the IB photo, but it's an amazing use of Lola's photo! I LOve her gorgeous soft blue eyes you colored. She's so ADORABLE!!
