First up: Darnell's Twofer Challenge - I may not get it right, because I'm technically NOT using the exact same stamp, but I'm using the same stamp SET!
Then: The Flower Challenge - One Layer Card! That is always a challenge, right?
Okay... here are my supplies:
For The Flower Challenge … that fun diamond shape second-generation stamped as a background - HAD to keep it CAS!
Hmmm … this birthday card is pretty BRIGHT, right?
Bright enough for Time Out? we'll see!
Next, I changed it up and did an all-over stamping with another diamond shape from that set on my card front, then added that same peony, this time Copic-colored red! Here's a closeup - I love that the diamonds show through the coloring!
A friendship card!
I know this is the third time I've barged into your world today … sorry about that - but I've been known to miss a deadline on occasion! lol

GOrgeous! And not THAT long of a post! You must have infinite patience to stamp all those little diamonds though!
ReplyDeleteWoweee! These are both so fabulous. Your creative mind works in mysterious ways!
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous cards Michele! love your colouring and such depth you achieved in your one layer cards too. Thanks for sharing with us over at 'The Flower Challenge' and we hope to see you again soon ;) Viv DT xx
ReplyDeleteIts not long when being entertained by you sweet stuff!
ReplyDeleteLove the diamonds and the flowers - especially to coloring.
A pair of pure loveliness! I do love those diamonds peeking through the coloring on your second card too. You can barge into my world as many times a day as your little heart desires ;)
ReplyDeleteThe graphic pattern behind these gorgeous flowers is such a cool look! Two fabulous cards!
ReplyDeleteWhether or not they fit the challenge is irrelevant in my book, for you have created two absolutely wonderful cards!. They are so bright and beautiful. I adore how the pattern peeks through the rose. That looks amazing. I love it when you post! Doesn't matter how many times, I just know I'm going to see some goodness! :) Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou did a fantastic job of lining up those diamonds, Michele, and your Copic coloring is gorgeous. It does look cool to have them show through the flower.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are stunning, Michele! It's wonderful to see you skipping around Blogland playing in the various challenges again and running through the fountain in your pedal pushers! I love both beautiful flowers and designs! Buuuuuut, as you said, you used two different stamps (albeit from the same set) and the challenge of the challenge is to use the exact same stamp. :( Nevertheless, you got two beauties for your stash and I appreciate the shoutout and that you came to play in Twofer Card Challenge #8! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteNo worries, D!
DeleteWowsers lady, two beautiful cards! I just love how you were able to blend these two stamps sets together. You nailed the Twofer!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are stunning. So fun to see you playing in challenges, especially at Time Out. Thanks so much for joining in the fun.
ReplyDeleteThese are both gorgeous Michele! LOVE how you coloured through the 'all over' stamped background, yet another clever idea!
ReplyDeleteWow Michele, you got to beauties here! I love the triangular backgrounds you made for both cards. Really gives an artsy look to both cards! Love those flowers too, you have colored them up so beautifully and I love how the background shows through on the second one too. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteI honestly can’t pick a favorite here.....wow these are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteTwo really gorgeous cards, Michele! I'm loving the diamond patterns that you chose for your Twofer challenge entry, especially the soft, subtle gray on the first one...it really makes your flower pop! (By the way, I made the same mistake on the last challenge...Great minds, right?) Your Copic coloring on both cards is stunning, my friend, and I am so impressed that you created one-layer cards, even with the backgrounds! I'm so happy to see you playing along in challenges again, too :)
ReplyDeleteA delicious combination of graphic geometrics and beautifully coloured blooms, Michele ... a duo of loveliness! I'm so pleased you're getting back to your roots (ear worm?) ... and that you played along with us at Time Out and Twofer (where I see Darnell already mentioned a little something)! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to see you playing along at different challenges, Michele! Many more crafters can get to see your ingenious cards!
ReplyDeleteSuch a clever way of using geometric stamps! I love the way (orientation) you stamped the peony of the first card, and the diamonds showing through the Copic coloring on the second card! Fantastic one-layer cards, my friend! Hideko xx
