You can imagine my delight when Ellen Hutson, LLC added two gorgeous shades of gray cardstock to the shop. You really have to feel it to believe it! Slate gray, and Oyster gray, have truly won my heart!
Not only do they make great card bases, because of the 100# weight, they emboss just beautifully, too. I've misted the paper with my Ranger Mini Mister prior to embossing with a few of my many embossing folders - I have more than 60!
The card stock has just enough 'tooth' to use it for colored pencil work...
EBE S'Whale with Prismacolor pencils:
White, Ultramarine, Indigo Blue, Light Cerulean Blue, and Silver
The dark, rich Slate matches my favorite gray ink perfectly … which also happens to be Copic friendly!
Altenew: Cherished Memories
No matter how you cut, emboss, color, or create with these gorgeous gray card stocks, the results will make you a gray-lover, too!
Thanks for stopping by!

big time, smile... =]

gorgeous...gray is my favorite! Love your projects. I happened to pop those two packs in my last Ellen order.
ReplyDeleteThese look like some awesome shades of gray, Michele. Adore the coloring on the whale card. And the embossing! Your misting sure helps. They are crisp and clean and so detailed. Wow! Thanks for sharing and showing off how pretty gray can be! :) Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYou should be in advertising, Michele. You know just how to promote and show off products in a most creative way. I love the clean simplicity of your cards with the texture to add interest.
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards - all of them. I too love gray and tolerate my gray/white hair. teehee
ReplyDeleteEmbossing folders for the win!!!!! I love every one of these cards, just stunning.
ReplyDeleteI love grey's too, but then again I love all colors. lol So hard for me to have one favorite. These grey's are beautiful for sure and so are all your cards! I'm in love with each one! I too have a ton of embossing folders and need to use them more than I do. I know, shame on me! Anyway, beautifully done my friend! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteBet you were in heaven creating with these wonderful grays. I especially love the blue whale, so beautifully colored on the darker cardstock!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic array of creative cards, Michele! The Slate Gray and the Oyster Gray must be very happy to be laid under your creative spell. The dry-embossed panels look like pieces of sculpture art. The pencil colored whale looks so cool! Love the color combo. Hideko xx
ReplyDeleteI agree, these look amazing and I can't remember if I ordered these or not... but if I did't I will have to lol. Totally swooning over the whale card design (actually who am I kidding, I am loving them all)!
ReplyDeleteSo much to love about the beautiful projects you shared here. And, unfortunately, you have put several things on my wish list, too! You devil! What is the geometric impression plate in your second card? Looks like some sort of optical illusion.
ReplyDeleteThose grays are gorgeous and you have created some beautiful cards to showcase them. Note to self: I do not need more gray cardstock. I do not need more gray cardstock...
ReplyDeleteI love grey cardstock, its on the colour I buy often (apart from white). I only have about 6 embossing folders so must buy some more, have a long way to go to 60!! All beautiful projects, especially love the second card and reminds me that I have that embossing folder too!!
ReplyDeleteWell Michele you have totally rocked my socks with these cards, I can see why you are in love with the new greys, simply put they look stunning. Your card designs make it of course from those wonderful embossed backgrounds to the coloured whale and wonderful floral tape card. All wowww
