It's Retro day at CAS[E] this Sketch! I hope you're as excited as we all are to start our CTS New Year!
This was my second card as a member of this CTS team ... yes, I do still pinch myself after nearly two whole years!
Here is CTS #107 and a link to see how it moved us in 2015:
Sharing my first go-around:
Isn't it great to look back at past cards? I see things I'd change - but it looks like my CAS style had already been nurtured.
Here is today's card:
Same colors, different season! and who doesn't need a stash of get well cards this time of year?
Hope you played along with this sweet Sketch in 2015, and will continue playing cards with us throughout 2018 - we love it when you do! ... now let's go see how my teamies reinvented their cards... OH btw... we have a new member!! I'm not sharing the surprise here... go!!
=] Michele
Supplies: MFT paper , and snowflake dies [thank you, Barb!], Lil' Inkers Hootie Patootie! stamps, and dies.
Adorable! And my stash of get-well AND birthday cards is very low...I need some serious stamping time!
ReplyDeleteI'm new to Challenges, I will play for sure!
ReplyDeleteThis is so SWEET!! I adore that sentiment and the gray? You ROCK!!
ReplyDeleteYou have always rocked CAS, and both of these show how that has never changed. I adore that sweet owl and the snowflakes were genius!
ReplyDeleteLove the flashback! These are both fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe original is a lovely card! But I have to say the new version is my favorite. I think it's your signature gray and then of course there is that darling owl. Whoo, whoo wouldn't love this card!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, how fun to see your first card. So pretty! I must say though, that the new version is fabulous. I adore that little cutie patootie owl. The snowflakes are perfectly places and the two strips of chevron paper just so visually appealing. Excellent work!
ReplyDeleteOh how fun is this?! Love the old and new version! So fabulous, my friend! Happy New Year! xoxo
ReplyDeleteAs you know from IG, I love this little guy. He looks like he's taking those snowflakes in stride with his lovely green scarf. I found my card from 2015. Not so great. I hope to do better this time if inspiration strikes.
ReplyDeleteOh my the bundled owl is adorable! Sweet card! I
ReplyDeleteI love both of these!
ReplyDeleteThose tall blooms against the fresh green are as wonderful now as they were in 2015, Michele ... and I love your adorable little owl, all snuggled up against the grey wintery chill ... and all that snow! I'm guessing the inspiration came from real life at the moment!! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteYour original card is so pretty, and I really love your new take on the sketch! Your little owl is so sweet and he looks perfect with his beautifully colored scarf and snowflakes in the background! I also LOVE the pattern paper that you chose for this design, too...You are amazing, Michele!
ReplyDeletePS: You are most deserving and very welcome, my friend!!!
Fabulous design on your former card but love this one! Perfect colors for a wintery get well and I adore the charming little owl. He looks so cozy in his green scarf!
ReplyDeleteLooking at both cards, I think you've always had a great CAS style, and I see more sense of humor and creativity in the current cards, Michele! The little owl is so adorable, and I love that you broke up the patterned paper. Hideko :-)
ReplyDeleteLove this Michele and Im a sucker for the way you make your sentiments so much fun! Also loving how you used the snowflakes in an unconventional way !!x
ReplyDeleteAww, this owl is too cute. Especially framed by those fabbo snowflakes. Funny how our styles evolve, isn't it? The bones are the same but the way we see things are a bit different. Makes life interesting! Happy new year (in case I forgot to with you that before today)!
ReplyDeleteThis card couldn't be sweeter. Such an adorable image. I love the added stripe of printed paper - really adds something special to your card. So glad to be a part of this talented group!
ReplyDeleteI love them both Michele, and you'd think the flowers with the golden background would be my favorite...but its that darling owl with the snowflakes that has me smitten.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I love seeing what you created first and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that owl card. It's up there as one of favorites of all time. SO CUTE!
