Altenew September 2017 Inspiration Challenge

Monday is LOADS of fun... especially when I have a chance to get in a little crafting in between... Altenew's September 2017 Inspiration Challenge to the rescue!

Altenew's Fantasy Floral die set was calling for another little play time - happy to oblige.  This time I pulled out a favorite cardstock for Fall/Winter that has a natural thread woven through it.  By DCWV, I 've had it for years, and now am getting to the end - what will I do?  Here's one thing:

That woven paper soaked up the ink just beautifully! and that gorgeous frame, from their Reflection Scrapbook set, represented the blue vessel in the photo rather beautifully!  Happy to have the Floral Fantasy stamp set to do a little ghost stamping on my card base.

Here it is on that woven paper... untouched.

There was just enough time to make another... this time I used an older [but still fresh] set called Floral Sprig, and regular water color cardstock.

Guess which one is heading for the Inspiration gallery?

Tuesday's are even more fun 'round here!  Whatever is on your schedule, have a wonderful day - and thanks for sharing a bit of your day with me...

  1. Wow, they are both gorgeous! But I absolutely loved the first one! So elegant and so beautiful, I loved the texture on the flower and the soft shadows in the background, so awesome! You are making me want to buy the dies!! :D

  3. That is some nifty paper Michele and it did take the color beautifully! I like the fancy frame you used too. Another perfectly lovely card! Check out Etsy, Ebay and just punching the name into Google for the paper. That's how I found that sweet OA paper for my kit!

  6. Oh goodness, Michele, that first card is stunning! The texture on the paper is fantastic. So happy it worked out so well for you with the adding of the ink. There is so much interest on the card. And then the second one, with the blend of colors in the flower and the angle on the design. Just beautiful. So happy you got to play and create such wonderful cards! :) Hugs!

  7. I don't know which you'll send but they're both fantastic, Michele. The first one is unique so that may be a winner but I love the second one too for it's simplicity.

  8. Both of them, Michele! I just want to reach in and touch that texture-y paper, it's fabulous, and the dimensional, vibrant bloom is stunning! Love the pure, clean lines of that gorgeous floral branch (I'm thinking magnolia!) ... there's such a wonderful serenity about it! Hugs, Anita :)
