I usually save my Sundays for Tom ... six days a week in his lab doesn't leave him much time for fun, so I've given him the day to do whatever he wants!
This gorgeousness from THD #15 was still on my mind - particularly the bottom layer of their gorgeous leafy cake:
I made a quick Sunday lunch and then this:
There is someone special, and very generous who will be finding this little card in her mailbox - soon!
Hope you're having a quiet Sunday ... thanks for spending a few moments with me!
Now... I wonder where Tom is? I wonder if his idea of fun included mowing the lawn?
=] Michele
supplies: Lawn Fawn - stitched leaves; Gina Marie designs- cross-stitched rectangles; copics - light prawn, and blush.
This is such a creative take on the cake and what a lovely idea to see leaves in such pretty colours x
ReplyDeleteSweet card, such pretty colours! Jo x
ReplyDeleteI love it when I give Scott some 'he time', because of course that ultimately means some 'me time' too lol. You are rocking this inspiration and those cascading ombre leaves were a great choice from the pic!
ReplyDeleteMichele,
ReplyDeleteFabulous take on the inspiration photo. Your cascading ombre leaves are so scrumptious. You rocked it for sure.
So wonderful to give the other half some time to do his own thing ( though I really doubt that included mowing the lawn sweetie) and luckily giving them their time means of course as Therese said we get some me time too. Love your card, as always true inspiration.
ReplyDeleteAnother fabulous card!! I LOVE the spray of leaves and you are using that die again that I just received in the mail!! FABULOUS take on the challenge!!
ReplyDeleteOh my stars is this ever pretty! Love those sweet sticked leaves and that perfect splash of gold. Amazing card Michele! Our Sunday included the lawn. I mowed while Shawn trimmed. Then we cleaned out the garage. I said to him "Is it weird that all this cleaning and organizing out here makes me happy?" He said "No, I like it too!" LOL ~ we lead such an exciting life!!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, such gorgeous ombre leaves! The stitching detail is the perfect touch.
ReplyDeleteFrosty pink and gold--what a gorgeous combo! It's finally cooled off here and we had rain last night. A wonderfully relaxing Sunday for us--lunch with grandson, finished a book and got hummingbird feeders up!
