Water-coloring is on my brain this week ... what is going on? Could be the beautiful Autumn colors showing up in my world!
Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge #2 has given me one more reason to keep it up ... it's a Watercolor Challenge!!! Concord & 9th has provided the stamps and dies!
Here are two creations:
You're probably wondering where the color went, right? In my defense, I was going for that 'leaf skeleton' idea ... but the color did get lost ... so here is the solution!
Better, right? I used the die to impress the leaves, then added a bit of glitz with Delicata Gold and the vein stamp... a bit of gold foil, and voila! I thought they deserved gold stars =]
By the way, my water-colors of choice today come by way of Wplus9's dye inks - using the dip/spritz/stamp technique! I sure hope this meets the criteria =\
I'm so happy to be playing cards again! Oh that doesn't mean I'm totally done with the unpacking ... whatever is in those last few boxes I have not missed!
Hope you're having a wonderful Autumn day!
=] Michele
These are both so delicious, Michele ... you've captured the colours of autumn so beautifully on these gorgeous leaves ... love the touches of warm gold! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteOh WOW!! I LOVE both of these cards!!! Stunning!!
ReplyDeleteI love the BOTH Michele!! The skeleton leaves are delicate and ever so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteTwo fantastic cards. Love them both!
ReplyDeleteStunning cards Michele, love that leaf die and your colours. Yeah leave those last few boxes and if you dont go to them in the next year then donste them to charity as you obviously dont need whats in them lol. Or maybe you should check just in case you left that ring your husband bought you or the...:)
ReplyDeleteEven without as much watercolor as your second card, Michele, that first card is quite stunning! Something about it draws me in ... I absolutely love it! Well, in truth, I love both cards as they have wonderful fall colours and lovely designs!
ReplyDeleteThat first card is amazing Michele. I simply love it! And I think you are completely delightful! Your cards always bring a smile. Your second card shares the beautiful colors of fall and is absolutely deserving of gold stars. I say, however you watercolor, works. But then, I'm not in charge of the challenge. LOL Hey, if you keep those boxes unpacked for a set amount of time (like a month or so) and you don't reach for them, donate them unopened, since you haven't been looking for whatever is in them. Or unpack them so you don't have to see them unopened for the next month or so. Whatever works! Thanks for sharing these awesome cards!! :)
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Michele!I love them both equally. So pleased you managed to leave me a comment in the end....thank you so much !!!;) Viv xx
ReplyDeleteI don't generally comment, but felt today I would. I REALLY like the first card. Give me that one any day of the week. Great job.
ReplyDeleteI think that first one is SUPER UNIQUE!! Design genius!
ReplyDeleteI love these a thousand times, especially the first. So much interest packed in one fabulous card!

ReplyDeleteWatercolor on the brain is a good thing, Michele, when it means cards as lovely as these.
ReplyDeleteLOVE both of these cards so much... but my favourite is the one with the 'lost' colour!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are funny. X
Oh, how beautiful! Positive or negative, I have to say you nailed it with these gorgeous leaves, Michele! Your fall color palette paired with Delicata Gold and gold foil is sheer perfection! Both cards are stunning, my friend!

ReplyDeleteWait, some sweet angel sent me die cuts of that leaf... now I know who to case! Seriously? Love the first one the mostest. But anything you do is so clever and design smart, truly both fabulous!!!
