I'm finally finding a spare moment to catch up with a few favorite Challenges ... Freshly Made Sketches #259 played right into my crafting today.
I have a really wonderful cousin in Denver who not only sells my cards, she ordered her Christmas cards from me this year. Now you might know that I don't like to make the same card twice - that isn't as much fun as starting something brand new. But, in this case, I made an exception ... this card was made in 2015 and continues to be one of my own favorites:
When Linda, our hostess this week, suggested 'any shape' I decided it was time to not only recreate it for the order, but also to change it up a bit!
I do love plaid, and let its fun pattern represent the horizontal detail in Linda's sketch ... tricky, huh?
See you in a few minutes with another fun sketch from CTS!!

Great 're-make' and I can see why, they are both so fabulous (I can't go past woodgrain at the moment and I think I may just blame you lol.) x
ReplyDeleteCute! Great re-do of your own fave!
ReplyDeleteI am in LOVE with the original and am cheating on it a bit with my feelings for the change up LOL!! FABULOUS cards Michele...but you never do anything else ;)
ReplyDeleteWow these are so classy....and so fall! Beautiful remake of a wonderful card! So glad you shared these at FMS!
ReplyDeleteOoh, that first card looks fabulous! What a wonderful woodgrain! Your re-do looks fantastic as well. I adore that plaid and the colors! You are so creative! Hugs! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm smiling that I have that first one in my hot little hands. The remake is every bit as lovely. I love plaid too and the green leaves pick up some of its color.
ReplyDeleteI can see why you love this design, Michele...Classic beauty and your new version is fabulous! Loving the autumn color palette and plaid papers, too! Very pretty, my friend!
ReplyDeletewonderful extrapolation of your original.
ReplyDeleteThe original and the re-make are both elegant but have something modern, too! Love you used brighter colors for the re-make and the paper for the card base looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one who likes to re-do her own cards! Both of these are so beautiful in their shades of brown (a favorite color of mine). And I love the addition of the plaid paper on your redux. It gives some wonderful texture to those branches and stitched leaves. I'm so glad you found some time to join us at FMS this week Michele!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic CASE of yourself, Michele ... the original and the remake are both fabulous ... bold and striking ... and I love that square wreath! Hugs, Anita :)
