CAS[E] this Sketch #170

Hannelie Bester is our sketch artist this week - it is bold, fantastic, and oh so fun - just like I imagine its creator to be!

I couldn't help using another of the Altenew Beautiful Day flowers I created while I had my hot little hands on Bobby's stamps!  This time I also used her inks!

For CTS #170:

My panels were cut from a 4.25 x 5.5 inch panel of Fog cardstock, then cut to mimic Hannelie's sketch.  I opted to use an MFT die to
add faux stitched lines on the upper panels, and to the card base to form the other panels.

OH I do LOve grey, plus any other color!

I  hope I have inspired you in some little way to play along with us at CAS[E] this Sketch this week!

I'm off to check on my team-mates cards!  You should come along!  I cannot wait to see the card that inspired Hannelie's sketch -  oh no, I try really hard not to peek at any of their cards until after I post mine - are you surprised?

Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Fab idea to use the stitched dies to re-create the sketch lines in the challenge. It's a great backdrop to this beautiful purple flower, which goes beautifully with the touches of grey on your card, Michele. Love it!

  5. My sweet, awesome friend: time for some serious catching up in your feasts-for-the-eyes gallery! Breath-taken-away with your gorgeous Beautiful Day bloom; the grey/purple/green combination, the placement, the faux stitching...in awe! This set, along with a couple others, have joined my collection! Yahoooo! Found a 'local' craft supply gal who can order them and I can pick them up when we visit the big city! How cool is that! Love your card AND you!!

  16. You've turned an odd sketch into a thing of beauty, Michele! This design reminds me of vintage and much-adored hand-embroidered pillowcases of long ago! The kind that smelled of long afternoons hanging in the sunshine on the clothesline, layered with the smell of the ironing board. Hugs, Darnell
