Inspired by all the Little Things - #6

Really?  Could there be a bigger surprise, or honor, to receive the Inspiring Standout last week?  Thank you, amy T. and for the wonderful inspiration photo - it makes my play-time so much more fun!

This week the fun continues with Jeanne Jachna  [yay] as our host, and this little number for inspiration ...

And this wonderful guest designer: Kathryn Lorenzini.

You'll have treat yourself to a visit to their blogs to see the amazing cards they've created, and read the fun banter about blue vs. purple - and read about Kathryn's incredible trip!!!

Even I had a little fun with color this week, and with wood-grain paper, and with a bird who is building a nest!

A pretty little old PTI Wreath set I snatched up from a 12 Kits teamies!!
Let's see I've used, Hydrangea ink, purple paper, and colored a blue bird!
That should cover all the bases!!
The little bird is from an ancient AC Dear Lizzie set.

Since I had all the elements still on my MISTI, why not make a pink version, too?

Here I've used my wonderful new Winnie & Walter Noelle's cutaway - large panel.

How will you be Inspired by all the Little Things this week?  Will it be the photo, or Kathryn, or Jeanne?  I'll meet you in the gallery!

  10. YAY congrats on the standout nod!! These are both so pretty, what a fun little wreath. I think I like the pink version best with that pop of fresh spring green!!

  11. Oh yes! These are such a treat! I LOVE that hydrangea blue against the woodgrain, but then I got besotted by the pink! I think it's driven by my deprivation of pink in the real world!! I am so sorry I've been MIA! School term and work commitments have cramped my card life. Suffice to say, that while I visit the 'gallery' in reverence, it's often in silence! ;-)

  12. Michele, thanks so much for your lovely post and for stopping by my site and commenting. I will email you regarding the digi papers! I've no fancy set-up, nor amazing printer, but am able to achieve some nice results with the right paper! I LOVE both of your cards. I really love how delicate and small the focal points are-- how they pull you in. Just beautiful, both. I am so glad we are now connected and I look forward to staying in touch!! Hugs!

  14. It's always a treat when I visit a blog I haven't had the opportunity to see before, so thanks for leading me to these - great inspiration & work!
I love BOTH of your fabulous wreath cards, Michele. Even with a similar LO and images, they are quite different!

  15. Both are beautiful Michele! I'm drawn to the fun inlay die on the first with the purple peeking through and the twine in the birdies mouth! - what great contrast - same stamps but two totally different looks!

  16. I can't believe how great that wreath looks stamped on a circle die. I have the set and rarely use it but you've inspired me to get it out. Love the little bird with the twine, and I just put that Noelle cutaway on my wish list.

  17. Beautiful cards Michele! I love that wreath and bird. And I love how you put the twine in the birds "mouth". I do like lavender (really love the wood grain paper!), but I love pink, so that pink card is my favorite. Hugs, Brenda
