I couldn't stop myself from trying to recreate that gorgeous cushion on the FABulous sofa in Taheerah's photo for the Image Challenge at Winnie & Walter's Belated 2nd Birthday Bash:
Would you not murder the first person to disturb this perfection?
Audrey Hepburn, in her perfect little black dress, might be allowed.
With the help of my fun W&W Lola's Botanicals, and the same little sentiment from The Party, another 'paneled' card:
Okay. It isn't as fab as the cushion ... but you get the 'feeling' of flocking, right? What's that? You don't know flocking? You don't know what you're missing, though I haven't seen it used for 100 years, either.

I think you have done a pretty good job of recreating the scene Michele! Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteThis is very fun. Love how you have made all those cuts in your panel and it does feel like flocking to me.
ReplyDeleteAnother stunner from the inspiration...nice.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is fascinating with all of those panels! Love the soft pink and black with the sweet vellum bloom. You've done Audrey proud ;)
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! Great job!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely get the feel of flocking!! and your card has caught the feel of the cushion perfectly ... for a while when I was young it was the fashion to have flocked wallpaper! :) x
ReplyDeleteWOW what a stylish creation....perfectly interpreted too!!

Oh, this is so cool and pretty! I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the black on pink with the panels, Michele, and yes, I do remember flocking. I'm trying to remember who had black flocked wallpaper.
ReplyDeleteThis card sure looks as fabulous as the pillow in the inspiration photo Michele! I love it and yep, I can "feel" the flocking. You knocked this right out the park my friend. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteFlocking???? - no haven't got a clue what that is, Michele!!! (will have to google it!!!!) But I do love your 'feeling of flocking' card and it's for sure just as fabulous as that cushion!!! The idea to do the panels is great and the vellum flower and the little flag with the sentiment is just perfect!!!! So lovely!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!!!
