The newest Pin-Sights Challenge is up at Ellen Hutson's Classroom ... what a beauty it is:
If you meander around those fantastic photos, you'll perhaps see where I found my inspiration for this card:
Essentials by Ellen Hutson and Julie's 12 Days Companion Greetings for the sentiment.
Bold Blossoms for the die-cut blooms
Any opportunity I have to play with an embossing folder? I am definitely going to take advantage. This beauty is from Lifestyle Crafts, and was used to emboss a slip of vellum, and a panel of patterned paper in that fabulous pale green. Oh... you didn't notice it? Take another peek!
My second card today is for my team-mate extraordinaire, Tracey McNeely, who is up for Muse #149 ... so happy to have a moment to play along =] Here is Tracey's darling inspiration:
Thanks for the darling inspiration, Tracey! I'm also going to send this one over to the SSS Flickr challenge #37!
I've been checking in with a few of my sweet blogging friends who live in Jonah's path ... happy to hear all is well, and they are making the very best of it! LOve that attitude!
Enjoy your Sunday! Thanks for the visit!
=] Michele

ReplyDeleteLove those roses - very pretty with the double-wonky mats! So glad you joined us at Muse this week!
ReplyDeleteTalk about a pair of gorgeous cards! On the first, I thought your green was gray until I zoomed in but either way it's phenomenal, and I love that folder! The second card is as awesome as Tracey's! Love those wonky stitches and green backer card!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are stupendous Michele, Love those red, gray and whites for your pinsights, and your sweet flowers with the double wonky stitched borders are fab.

ReplyDeleteooh ooh, gotta say that I just got these rectangle dies and can't wait to use them (alas work keeps getting in my way, but you'll see them soon for sure). Your cards are all wonderful , all that flowery goodness makes my heart smile xx
ReplyDeletePerfect Anniversary card! How many embossing folders do you have and how are they organized?
ReplyDeleteYour floral card....LOVE. I'm happy to say that my boy is safely back in his dorm room...whew.
Two gorgeous cards, Michele! Love how you were inspired by both the board and Tracey's card. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI am very thankful we only ended up with maybe a couple inches from Jonah. It was all wind blown so it was hard to tell. We still have patches of grass we can see so I know it wasn't as much as other places. :)
Love your anniversary card--just stunning! The embossed panels are so lovely. I forget about embossing vellum and it can add so much. The touches of red are perfect! And bright flowers on the Muse design are so pretty! You're still tempting me to order those wonky dies!!
ReplyDeleteGreat interpretations of the inspiration photos and card Michele! I love the soft colors with the pops of red, that is a great embossing folder. Beautiful coloring on the second card and fabulous die, I may need to hunt that one down. :)
ReplyDeleteBoth lovely cards, Michele, but I'm swooning over the SSS Roses for You card. You are definitely ROCKIN' this set!
ReplyDeleteBoth gorgeous cards!
ReplyDeleteTwo GORGEOUS cards, Michele! Beautiful take on the inspiration photo, and I love how you colored your flowers on the 2nd card (Copics?)...really stunning effect! Loving the wonky stitching on both panels, too (that die is on my wishlist) ~ Awesome post!
ReplyDeleteThese are both gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love, love that your embossing folder matched the wall paper in the one inspiration picture and yes, I noticed it right away! lol I love embossing folders but don't play with mine much. I need to do something about that. Especially love the vellum embossed. Beautiful card Michele. I also love your take on Tracey McNeely's card, the colors are wonderful and I am loving the "stitching" on your card. It was a good weekend to sit back and just watch the snow fall. lol Or play board games, cozy up with a good book or even watch a good movie. It was the dig out after ward that wasn't as fun. lol Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteLove both the cards! They are so different from each other! Love the embossed vellum in the first one, and also the choice of your colors! Love the loose coloring and the colors in the second one.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are fabulous, Michele! I love the die-cut flowers, perfect placement of sequins and the tilted panels on the first card!! And the bright, happy flowers and wonky stitching on the second card are awesome too!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, wow, wow!! You are so prolific!! I LOVE both of these cards. The mood board card is perfection. LOVE the rose die cuts. The second card is just fabulous with the flowers you chose and that stitched die. (On my wish list-actually in a card waiting to be paid for!!) Great design!
ReplyDeleteI pinned the first card to remind me to use large layers on a card, and yes, I see the lovely green peeking out, Michele. I love your wonky stitches and bright flowers on the Muse card. Are those from the new roses set?
