Holy wow.
Oh! I even posted a photo on Facebook after buying my first duvet cover at Ikea!!! Yes. I did. I'm a linen-holic!
The colors in #309 are really among my favorites ... give me grey, lots of greys [except for in my hair!] and Orange , and I'm a happy girl!
Enough! Here is my card for ColourQ #309!:
Julie's Wild Garden dies from E.H. BasicGrey Barista DP;
SSS Fog, and PTI Smoky Slate, & Recollections Orange cardstock.
Wplus9 sentiment from A New Day, heat embossed in Ranger Fine Silver.
I was thrilled to be able to use that DP from BasicGrey today - I think it is the perfect shade of Summer Starfruit!!
Have a great day, everyone ... I'm back Playing Cards tomorrow with a sweet friend in Scotland, and we'll be joined by a few other darling card players who agreed to another round - CASEing one of my own cards!! We sure hope you'll join us!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love these colours, too! I've been admiring this inspiration, but wondering how I can squeeze in the time to make a card. Your card is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous card! I think I could actually make a similar one, since I have the Wild Garden dies, woo hoo! Thanks for inspiration.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteI did not know you were a linen a holic. I've never met one. Lovely card, and those die cuts look wonderful atop that pretty patterned paper.
ReplyDeleteSimply stunning Michele, love the bright pop of color of the flower an that DSP is lovely. Fabulous interpretation of the colors for this challenge.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Maria Rodriguez.
Just gorgeous Michele - totally nailed the colours this week..loving that BG paper and the splash of colour from the die cuts is fab!
ReplyDeleteOh, man...I love this card, too! Seriously, Michele, I think I'm going to have to adopt the saying "You're all my favorites" when I look at your cards.
ReplyDeleteI love all the layers in the beautiful card, Michele. That narrow frame is something I haven't seen done before but it really works with the outline flowers and leaves.
ReplyDeleteThere you are again--uses subtle neutrals with a wonderful pop of color--such incredible designs! LOVE your gorgeous card--the orange is the perfect accent!
ReplyDeleteYou and I share more in common than a love of cardmaking ... linens! Who would have thought someone else would have my crazy addiction for cotton and everything cozy! In fact, when we go to the mall together, my husband has to always steer me clear of the linen department with these words ... "Haven't we got enough towels???" or bedsheets, or duvet covers, etc. (to which I always answer "no" in my head). LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful card, Michele - a perfect take on the challenge!
LOVE your beauty of a card! Now I happen to think it's perfectly normal for one to love linens of all kinds and colors, and styles. A must have for every well dressed bedroom! ;)
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Michele
ReplyDeleteLinens...oh, to have pretty linens. Not happening! We're all about "practical" (guess who influences that decision!). Your card is stunning! I love the flower/leaf combination, but its the framing arrangement that has me bedazzled! Please, please: where cometh those lovely stitched mat dies?
ReplyDeleteHugs~c
Go Ikea! I'm obsessed with their plastic bags.. I have them in every size possible... I love that it has that double closer :) Your card is perfect take on the inspiration photo and the colours. You know, we really wouldn't have any problem painting a house together.. I always, always love your colour choices.
