Here is the lovely inspiration for CMCC#89:
Everyone knows by now that I haven't a feather ... so it is always an extra challenge to find a stand-in - this time? Not a problem:
Technique Tuesday sentiment; Die-namics, and Lawn Fawn leaves;
favorite embossing folder - ever!! Yes, Lindsey, they are on their way!
Copic coloring, with a little dabbing of colorless blender.
Hope you are all powered up, and having a great start to your week! Thanks for stopping over!

I can't tell at all that you didn't have power when this card was made, love. I adore all the textures and techniques! Such a unique palette for fall! Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at Colour Me...!
ReplyDeleteAnother bevy of beautiful cards Michele and what's this no power!not good I even sometimes end up having to use my daylight lamp in daylight for finickty bits :)x
ReplyDeleteA nice to way to pass the time during a power outage. Loving the colors, it looks like a fresh take on fall!
ReplyDeleteYou're amazing, no power and a fabulous card. Love the leaves in place of feathers...it so works.
ReplyDeleteOooh! Striking vibrant and gorgeous Michele. X

ReplyDeleteTo get a peek into your brilliant creative crafty brain for just five minutes would fill me with a lifetime of inspiration!! No feathers...who cares!! You rocked it Michele!!
ReplyDeleteLove those brilliant leaves. Colored so beautifully, and they really stand out on that textured white.
ReplyDeleteSheesh! No power and you can still make a GREAT card! Nice take on the feather colors...
ReplyDeleteThose multicolored leaves are just wonderful, and then with the woodgrain texture, fantastic card!
ReplyDeleteNow THAT's dedication (or an addiction problem) lol to stamp and create in the dark! LOL And you knocked it out of the park too! And so creative with the "alternative" feathers! Girl, you've got it going on! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLove how you worked those colours! The leaf is a great stand in for the feathers! :)
ReplyDeleteMichele....this is just beautiful. I love your gorgeous leaves and what a wonderful bad ground for them. Thanks for joining us at Colour Me!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours and beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteMichele ... of all your wonderful cards, I think this one is my current favourite ... that woodgrain background texture is just beautiful ... and oh my, those green and blue blended hues ... swooning, my friend! So pleased the power came back on!! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteJust GORGEOUS Michele, the colors of this leaves against the pristine white of the background are striking!! Love how you die cut the leaves and then placed them back in their negative space, just lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteOne question.....did you use vellum for the wood grain embossing? It's so crisp and beautiful and it doesn't appear to be cracked, like sometimes happens with vellum when you dry emboss it.
Being without electricity didn't matter at all Michele, you didn't need it, the Big Shot is powered by you!! and I'm sure you used a few candles or a flash light to do the rest of this lovely card.
Thank you for sharing.
Maria.
Wow! Way to rock the peacock colors, I love how you did those leaves :)
ReplyDeleteI might have to start working without power to get results like this! Gorgeous ,Michele!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOhh this is beautiful;!!! I LOVE the colors of those leaves, just stunning, looks so very pretty on the woodgrain background!:
ReplyDeleteWell I think these leaves are a perfect replacement for leaves, they certainly are just as pretty with the way you coloured them. And gosh that woodgrain embossed background is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'm skipping around a bit now but I'm definitely looking at every post. Your cards are always an inspiration. Love your creative take on feathers! Are those the Lawn Fawn small leaves? And who makes your very favorite woodgrain embossing folder--truly gorgeous?
ReplyDeleteThe brightest of light wouldn't see me EVER making a card this lovely and inventive, Michele! Love those colourful leaves against the white; again, the contrast enhances the impact immensely. In awe...
