Thankfully, I've fallen in love with the collection of papers that were included in my SSS March Card Kit... ooo, la la! and Tah Da!
Thanks, Ms. Vicki for the true challenge this week!
While here, I wanted to share the card I made for my friend Dolores... do you recall the last card I made for my sweet friend? You can revisit it here - I miss her so much... and totally dropped the ball with her birthday card this year!!! Maybe I would be a good candidate for one of those planners??
=\
"... only a little late!"
Hi Michele! I struggle with using patterned papers too but you did a beautiful job creating that first card! Gorgeous design! And your second card is adorable - wonderful coloring on those sweet critters!
ReplyDeleteI'd say you chose your paper very well, Michele, and I love that you used the scallops on them. Those little creatures are so cute on the other one. They must be a new order. ;)
ReplyDeleteMuse card gets an A+ from me. You did matchy-matchy perty darn well in my book. Nice take! And did you draw and paint those little critters????!!!! They are sooo cute. Your friend will not mind extending her bd celebration as soon as she sees this card, I'm sure. Waaay cute! Have a good weekend. Sending nice weather your way! Bev
ReplyDeleteThese both rock, Michele! I'm terrible at putting patterned papers together as well - takes me ages! You've rocked those ones though. And your little amigos are so cute and gorgeously coloured!!
ReplyDeleteI second Bev's comment: A+ (and a couple more +s) from me because you've paired papers like nobody's business. Gorgeous! As for those little critters: are those your own design? If so, once again, I'm bruising my chin with jaw-droppping awe! They are absolutely adorable, and the sentiment rocks! Your friend will absolutely love this, as do I! Yet another day-brightened, having visited your fabulous blog! Happy, happy!

ReplyDeleteI think the combo of patterns looks great--love the scallops! And the second card is so adorable. Love those little critters and the fun sentiments!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am the queen of the late birthday card, Michele! I would be tickled pink to receive that pair of beautifully coloured racoons, no matter how late! I love your take on vicki's muse too! I am rubbish at picking papers, and despite your protests, I think your selection is perfect. You have instilled in me a love of yellow and grey!! I will need to try that combo out for myself. Soon. I hope!!! Xx
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job of matching those papers, and I love how you've got a scalloped thing going on. And, those amigos are just adorable. I keep seeing them all over--I think of those little signs they have--they remind me of teleprompters, and make me smile every time.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the patterned papers and take on Vicki's card at Muse! Super cute birthday card for Dolores! More great coloring!
ReplyDeleteMichele, I love your pretty color patterns and this fun springtime in Paris feel! Great card!
