CAS(E) This Sketch #109

Sam Simpson's sketch for CTS# 109, is so fun I just know it will have many of you running to your craft-room to play along with this whimsical number:

As you get to know me better, you'll find [I like to think] I have a sense of humor. I just love a good joke, and a fun pun-y card is always good for a friend, or a guy.  My guy might appreciate this one...

...especially when he learns that I'm re-cycling - love my save-the-earth kind of guy.

My "card-stock" is the packaging from an Amy Tangerine embossing folder.  Yep, I hoarded saved it. What? I've got a Krispy Kreme box, too! Empty, of course.

This card is my homage to Lynn Mangan, who delights me with each and every card, but totally pulls me in with her use of the color orange... always has been one of my favorite colors.  I think it's fabulous with bright pink... what do you think?

There is a little pop of PTI Raspberry Fizz cardstock, and another one of my favorite Lawn Fawn's stitched leaves I used here, this time all water-colored up - thanks Tracey, for the new batch!

So have you gotten the pun here yet?  Hmmm?  Have you?  If so, I hope you're smiling, not groaning... it happens sometimes. It appears my cards are still singing?

I can't wait to see what you create...that always makes me =]

  9. I must be to tired from babysitting my one year old granddaughter to get your pun Michele, but it keeps going over my head! lol And I really am exhausted. But I love your card, I love orange and pink together, but I remember when it was first introduced I didn't like it. lol But I learned to loved as time went by! So my dear I am loving your recycling, the leaf is fabulous. Oh wait, is it "if you leaf me now"??? My tired mind/body is trying hard. lol But anyway I adore your card my friend! Hugs, Brenda

  19. So my excuse for not commenting earlier is that I was away on a trip and to type out comments on my iPhone is just killers, which is why I waited until now. That punny sentiment is just killin' me! I absolutely love it, and that two toned leaf! Keep on singing, Michele!
